Grade 2 APSA-SBA Test

The Grade 2 pupils will take the APSA-SBA standardized test on February 2, 2017 from 7:40am to 11:10am in their classrooms. The test will include sections on English, math, science, and a break. Homeroom advisers are asked to motivate students and remind them to have breakfast, bring two sharpened pencils, and be seated alphabetically from front to back for the test. Teachers with classes after testing will take over right after the scheduled time.

Dear Grade 2 Teachers:

Please be informed that the Grade 2 pupils are scheduled to take their APSA-SBA (Asian
Psychological Services and Assessment - Standards Based Assessment) Test on
Thursday, February 2, 2017. The test proper will be from 7:40 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. and will be
conducted in their respective classrooms (refer to the schedule below for the specifics).

Date English Break Math Science


February 2, 2017 7:40 - 8:40 8:40 - 9:10 9:10 - 10:10 10:10 - 11:10
(Thursday)

The administration of such will be handled by the APSA examiners, together with the Grade
School Guidance Coordinator, the Grade 2 Guidance Counselor and the LSGH CENTRO
Testing Unit.

The Homeroom Advisers are requested to motivate the pupils in taking the test and emphasize
with them the subsequent guidelines:
 Announce to the pupils their testing schedule
 Remind them to get a heavy breakfast
 Instruct them to prepare two (2) sharpened pencils with erasers (preferably Mongol
No. 2)
 Arrange the pupils alphabetically according to the class list, preferably seated from front-
to-back (vertical arrangement)
 Proctor their respective homeroom classes during recess and lunch

Likewise, the HRAs and subject teachers, whose classes are scheduled after the test, to take
over the class right after the APSA testing schedule.
