Weekly blog 3/4

What have I done this week?

So far over the past two weeks, I have been trying to see who my target
audience will be and what genre people think my work goes in to.

As you can tell from the above pictures I chose which genres I thought
my work could loosely fit into and then asked with sub-genre inside that
genre would work.

Has your idea changed/ adapted due to research?
My idea has changed slightly from before I asked these questions owing
to the fact that e lasher movie has an on-screen killer and almost
 very s
all of them have a final girl who survives the film. I wanted to fit better
into this genre but also play around with the genre, for example, having
the ‘final girl’ be the last of the killer’s victims and being the only victim
found alive, if only just. I also wanted to have 3-4 characters remain
alive, this being the 2 characters we start off with, the ‘final girl’ and the
killer.

Who is my target audience?
according to my survey, young
adults, as in between the ages of 16
and 30. Although I would think that
a lot of my watchers would be 18 to
25 years of age.

What feedback have you gotten and how has it helped?
To quote from Ben’s email:
‘All your tabs are labelled and clear. All the work that is on the context
page has been done to a good quality and you have a good
understanding of your idea and what you want to create. On your
context page I can’t see the Bibliography , social and ethical
implications and official brief but I might be missing something. Your
research is good and the topic you are covering is interesting. I feel like
compared to other websites from last year that are merit standard you
could keep adding to your research to make it extensive. When you take
information from a source always remember to Harvard reference it in
your research to make it easy to put into your Bibliography. Try and use
a different medium of research for example a book. Maybe add
pictures to go along with the research. Both weekly blogs are there and
done to a merit level standard. Maybe add some colour and make your
website more themed around the horror idea of your production so
that all your work relates and looks the same.’

So in all, I need to complete the following:
● Bibliography
● Social and ethical implications
● Continue adding to my research
● Harvard references
● Add book research
● Make the website more horror-themed
