1. SCOPE

 Material loading from DPSI Yard, Transportation from Yard to ESP#1 and Unloading of material at
ESP# 1 area by using Hydra.
 Height work, hot work (Cutting, Grinding, Welding), Lifting& Shifting.
 Bed preparation and Putting Frame on bed for Pre Assembly& inspection.
 Inspection of Frame
 Scaffolding Erection
 Erection of Frame, Locking, alignment and Welding.

4. Material Transportation

Material shall be transported in manner of following lifting, shifting and Traffic rules of DPSI by 12
meter length trailer and 23MT hydra used for loading and unloading of material at yard and site.

6. Procedure
Lifting procedure for Casing Frame Assembly for ESP Unit# 1

The Casing Column Frame assembly will lift by 250MT Crawler Crane and another crawler Crane 75MT
is used for Tailing of casing frame assembly as mentioned in the lifting procedure.

A. Appropriate lifting plan shall be established prior to start rigging.


B. The casing column frame assembly inspection must be complete before lifting, the measurements
and records shall be completed and all protocols must be jointly recorded and signed by concerned
authorities (i.e Kuber, DPSI).
C. Proper erection clits/lugs, guy rope & PP rope must be provided for erection & Tailing. These are to
be checked by concern authorities (i.e Kuber, DPSI) along with temporary scaffolding.
D. Prior to positioning of crane in required radius, load chart must be referred for lifting crane and
tailing crane.
E. All lifting tackles like wire rope slings, D’Shackls & chain pulley blocks must be visually inspected wrt
TPI certificate.
F. Wire rope sling and chain blocks must be installed on erection & tailing lugs.
G. Erection crane & tailing crane initially will lift the frame up to required height then erection crane
will make frame vertical with the help of tailing crane then tailing crane will be released & frame
will be taken to required erection position. Marching & swing of crane is part of erection activity.

H. After erection of frame rough alignment and temporary locking will be done and welding to be
done, guy rope will be used as temporary support for alignment & safety of frame.
I. After welding and temporary locking with guy rope crane will be released for erection of other
frame, after erection, alignment& welding of other frame, both the frames will be interlocked by
permanent members.
J. Lifting tools are analysed, load is compared and verified against performance specification.
K. Slinging of load followed by safe method is done by slingers.
L. Material shall be hold by Crane at the safe distance and the lifting procedure shall be followed with
3.3.3 rules.
M. Materials and safe working load for the duration of lifting operation are calculated at each
participating hook.

7. Safety preventive measures (JSEA Annex I)

a) Prior to commencement of work a TBM shall be conducted along with the rigging crew and all possible
hazards and its control measures shall be discussed.
b) Experienced rigging crew shall be engaged for rigging, shifting and erection of Frame.
c) Proper signalling shall be ensured by the rigging foreman.
d) Megaphone/hooter will used during the erection time
e) 3.3.3 Lifting safety rules to be followed during erection of load.
