The CITD Extension Centre Chennai was established in 2008 to provide training in CAD/CAM software. It later expanded to include departments for VLSI & embedded systems in 2013 and mechatronics & automation in 2014. In 2014, Samsung technical training programs were also started. In 2015, a new training center for Samsung was inaugurated at the site to provide courses in areas like handheld products and home appliances. The CITD Extension Centre Chennai offers short and long-term courses in areas like CAD/CAM, embedded systems, mechatronics, and Samsung technical programs.

About CITD Extension Centre Chennai
CITD Extension Centre Chennai Was Established in January 2008 At ANNEXE Building of
MSME-DI Campus. Started With CAD/CAM/CAE Department With Following Licensed Software’s
Like AutoCAD , Pro-E , CATIA , Unigraphics , Solidworks , Ansys , Hypermesh , Delcam &
Mastercam.

In April 2012 CITD Extension Centre Chennai Functioning In Its Own Building At Shed.No.33
MSME-DI Campus Chennai.

In June 2013 VLSI & EMBEDDED SYSTEMS Department Was Started With Following Licensed
Software’s like Keil, Xilinx,and Hardware Facilities Like Microcontroller-8051, PIC, ARM-7.

In April 2014 Automation Department Was Started With Various Training Kits From FESTO, SMC
like Pneumatics, Electro-Pneumatic & Hydraulics With Licensed Fluidsim Software’s.
