DEFINITION OF TERMS
Tree - It is tall plant with a trunk and branches made of wood.
Fruit bearing tree - It is a type of tree which bears a fruit that is consumed by
humans and some animals.
Planting – It is the process of casting handfuls of seed over prepared ground or
cutting stems of a matured plant.
Fruit – The sweet and freshly product of a tree or other plant that contains seed
and can be eaten.
Propagation – A process of a new plant.
Kalingag – It is a medium size tree that is commonly found in the Phils. And is
related to the culinary cinnamon and bay tree.
Orchard - It is an intentional planting of trees or shrubs that is maintained for
food production in land areas.
Land – it is a space where plants grow.
Temperature – it refers to the measure of hotness and coldness of a body.
Water – it is a transparent fluid that transport nutrients form the roots to the
upper part of the plants.
Sunlight – it refers to the energy needed by the plants to make food.
Roots – are the responsible for the absorption of water and minerals, storage, and plant
anchorage.
Photosynthesis – it is the process of food making in plants
Fruit Orchard – is a kind of orchard that focuses on growing fruit-bearing trees.
Pattern – the arrangement of an object in a particular space/area\
Design – it is the creation of a plan for the construction of an object or a system
