I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
 List down adjectives by describing the given pictures.
 Analyze the usage of adjectives in real life scenarios.
 Identify what are the descriptive of adjectives used in the given
sentences.
 Construct simple sentences using descriptive adjectives.

III. LEARNING ACTIVITIES

A. DAILY ROUTINE

 Prayer
 Greetings
 Checking of attendance
 Classroom Management

B. ACTIVITY

 The teacher will divide the class into four groups. Each
group will choose a representative.
 The teacher will ask each representative to pick a number
from 1-4. Each number represents a given picture.
 The teacher will give the corresponding pictures that each
representative chose.
 The teacher will then give the instructions for the activity.
 The students will compose a paragraph about the picture
they chose on a one half sheet of paper and after
composing a paragraph, they will list down all the words
that they used to describe their picture at the back of their
paper.
 Each group will be given three minutes to complete the
given task.
 Once the time is up, the students will now post their
assigned picture on the board and share to the class their
work.
 The teacher will then ask each representative what they
observed about the given task.

C. Analysis

 The title of this game is called “What do you think”


 The teacher will pass around a box containing five items.
 The students will then pass around a box.
 The teacher will then say “STOP”.
 The student who is holding the box at the moment will go
to the board and then choose a pocket.
 The student will then tell the class what he/she thinks
about the item she picked.

D. Abstraction

 Introduce the Adjective and Kinds Of Adjectives.


 Adjective- are words that describe or modify other words.
 An adjective describes a noun or a pronoun and it may be
a single word or a compound word.
 An adjective is usually positioned before the noun or
pronoun.
 A Descriptive Adjective tells us about the kind or quality
of a noun or a pronoun.
 Descriptive Adjectives usually express things that are
observable through the five senses. (Touch, taste, sight,
smell, and sound).
 It does not only add meaning or provide additional
information to a noun, but adds colour to the entire text in
general.
Example: The woman is pretty.
E. Application

 The teacher will divide the class into four groups. Each
group will choose a representative.
 The teacher will ask each representative to pick a random
set of adjectives inside the box.
 The students must use the five descriptive adjectives to
form a short paragraph.
 The students must underline the adjectives that they
used.
 Each group is given 3 minutes to compose a short
paragraph then 2 minutes to present it to the class.
Having a total of 5 minutes per group.
 The teacher will then ask the representative to describe
their experience writing the paragraph.
