Familycode

This document summarizes key parts of the Family Code of the Philippines related to parental authority over children and their property. It outlines that parental authority is jointly exercised by both parents over a child's property. Any property earned by a child through work belongs to the child. The code also describes situations where parental authority may be suspended, such as if a parent treats a child with cruelty or subjects them to sexual abuse. Grounds for termination of parental authority permanently are also provided, such as the death of the parent or child or if parental authority is divested by a court.
