Climate Change Speech
Climate Change Speech
Are you happy to where you are now? Are you loving the things you’re seeing now? Are you
comfortable to the things you’re feeling? aren’t you bothered by the tremendous change occurring now
and then? Coz if your no, I am.
Talking point 1:
Climate change is real, because of extreme weathers. Look around you, the news, the internet,
its full of calamity, and natural disasters. Global warming and climate change leads to severe
temperatures that eventually causes extreme droughts. The high temperature of the atmosphere causes
more water vapor that will evaporate into our atmosphere and will create big storms, and floods causing
many lives and chain of risk to our environment. Rising sea levels expose higher locations not usually
subjected to the power of the sea and to the erosive forces of waves and currents. Just by the increase
of our earth’s temperature a lot of lives is on the line. Is climate change real and a big impact to our
society? YES!
Talking point 2:
Climate change is real, that even animals is affected. Animals in their own nature is affected to the
drastic change in our weather pattern. Out of 873 mammals, nearly half have had negative responses to
climate change and 23% of 1,273 studied birds had negative responses. Animals depend on the cue of
nature to lead their lives especially birds. Birds in nature need to migrate and for thousands of years
they have adopted to the nature of the climate and had a stable migration patterns. Birds is very
affected to this because they need precision in migration considering their food, the climate and other
factor needed to be considered for migration. When the climate changes the birds may be arriving too
early for the perfect timing to populate, hence may be the reason for extinction of some species.
Talking point 3:
Climate change is real, and humans are the causing it. 97 percent of climate scientist agree that we
95% of human activities are causing it. We are causing our own harm, just by overpopulating increases
the risk of global warming and climate change, the increase of demand, change of our activities, and
rapid innovation in technology. Imagine that by travelling day to day from your home to school, your
parents from your homes to their offices affects our atmosphere by releasing carbon dioxide, methane,
and other gas that affects our greenhouse. As we demand more of our technology and as factories
produce them, we cannot take the fact that the production of our needs to survive will be the reason of
why we all die because of climate change and global warming. All told, man-made climate change
threatens to eliminate 20% to 50% of all the species on Earth as ecosystems change in drastic ways.
I know some of you may take this as a joke but the rising of our earth’s temperature caused by global
warming that leads to climate change is not a joke. The earth is melting, species are on the road of
extinction, and every part of this is man-made. This is us we are humans we are killing the very planet
we step. ARE WE TOO LATE TO DO SOMETHING? WHERE AND WHEN DO WE START?
