Introduction

People stay longer and perform better in an organization where their talent is
actively managed. The most important aspect of identifying high potential is
having an existing understanding of what good looks like. The emphasis is on
developing a broad spectrum of talent within the management ranks so that
the availability of the internal talent will not be a constraint to the
organization’s strategic direction.

Objectives

 To study the process of Talent Acquisition


 To study the various methods of Talent Development
 To study the strategies used for Talent Identification

Need and Importance

 Builds internal staff capabilities (bench strength) for the emerging


organizational demands.
 Retention and development of high potential employees
 Establishes a professionally managed organization with the systems in
place to ensure that it will have effective leaders going forward.
 Facilitates developmental moves across the organization.

Hypothesis

 Analysis of the talent through future skill requirement.


 Talent segmentation through demonstration of performance and potential.
 Personal interviews are used to identify talent.

Sample size will consist of 30 to 50 employees.

Limitations

Geographical Constraint:

The survey which has been conducted comprises a result of Nagpur region and
cannot be considered as representative of other region.

Efficiency of Data:

All facts and figures may not give us exact scenario because the data being
collected by various means from different sectors of society.

Human Limitation:

Some employee and business people hesitate to discuss their opinion about the
selection strategy of their company.

Time limitation:

This data interpretation carried out in the year 2010-11 and hence the project is
valid for the time period of not more than six months.
