Objective:
To motivate employees
To create environment for fair competition among employees
To retain the best employees available in the hospital
Nominations may be submitted by any department in charge of the (SMH) on the Nomination
Form.SMH Employee Recognition Award (ERA) is awarded monthly to three employee who
demonstrates a high level of job performance, quality customer service and adherence to SMH
mission and values.
Employee selected for Employee Recognition Award will receive a Recognition Award
Certificate by the MD and will also receive a cash award.
Eligible Criteria:
Job Performance: Employee consistently goes above and beyond what is required for a
particular job.
Promotion of Safety and Quality: Innovative idea created by employee to improve safety
and quality.
Employee cannot have received the Employee of the Month recognition more than once
in a year period.
Employee must not have had disciplinary action by HR within the last 3 years.
Completed forms will be sent to the HR department by 15th of each month. Department in
charge can nominate maximum of two employees in a month.
If there is no nominee for a given month, there will be no Employee Recognition Award
for that given month.
