TECHNICAL CLARIFICATION, DEVIATION FROM PURCHASER
REQUIREMENTS AND COMMENTS

❑ Schneider Electric offer is based on IEC recommendations.

❑ The testing & packing is according to Schneider Electric Egypt’s Standard.

❑ External surface protection for the panels is epoxy powder polymerized at high temperature,
with standard Colour of cover metal parts is RAL 9003.

❑ The distribution of all electrical products, the bus bar and bus bar sizing are according to
Schneider Electric standard.

❑ Testing at site, commissioning & start-up are not included in this offer.

❑ Packing for the mentioned offer is Seaworthy packing.

❑ Nameplates, painting procedure and marking are offered as per Schneider Electric Egypt
standard.

❑ Termination, cable boxes, cable glands are out of SEE scope of supply.

❑ The design temperature is 40 °C degrees centigrade (standard Ambient conditions, neither


seismic, nor marine)

❑ The Protection Degree is IP 4X.

❑ Main horizontal busbar is covered with heat shrinkable material, and silver platted only at
busbar with upper dropper’s copper connections as per Schneider electric standards

❑ Switchgear is provided with 4 compartments (Busbar, Switching device, Connection and LV


compartment).

❑ Anti-condensate heaters are provided with Hygrostat controller in cable compartment.

❑ Control power supply voltage is 110V DC and is considered customer scope of supply.

❑ Control power supply voltage for space heating and auxiliary power is 220V AC/50Hz and is
considered customer scope of supply.

❑ Safety interlocking is offered as per IEC standards and as per Schneider Electric catalogue

❑ The switchgear is provided with bottom cable entry

❑ Switchgear accessories are offered only as stated explicitly in this offer.

❑ All indication lights are offered as LED type.

❑ Voltage transformers are withdrawable.

❑ Ratings of current transformers is provided as mentioned in our technical offer and any
change in the rating of CTs shall be charged against extra cost.

❑ Labels are provided as standard foil type in Black Background & white letters.
❑ Control wiring is 450/750V flame retardant, 70⁰C

❑ Control wiring is provided as per SE standards:

- Voltage circuit: 1.5 mm2 – Black


- Current circuit: 2.5 mm2 – Black
- DC control circuit: 1.5 mm2
❑ For the spring charging status indication is provided through transparent window.

❑ Operating instruction manual will be provided in English version.

❑ Earthing switches are manually operated.

❑ The numbering, labels and routing of wiring through the compartments are as per SEE
standards.

❑ No surge arrestor is provided inside switchgear.

❑ No cable boxes are provided.

❑ No wall bushings are provided.

❑ The SF6 CB is provided with 6NO/6NC auxiliary contacts.

❑ No internal arc limiter or protection is provided.

❑ In case of internal arc; the switchboard is provided with pressure reliefs to vent the hot
gases and tunnel above the switchboard to prevent the reflection of these gases on the
ceiling.

❑ Earthing on bus coupler is not applicable.

❑ Cable glands, termination, lugs and end boxes are out of SE scope of supply.

❑ Mechanical position indicator for CB and ES is provided through Semaphore.

out of Schneider Electric Egypt's scope of supply.
