A: Morning everyone. I’m Tintin Mariano, your accredited competency assessor for Event Management
Services NC III or EMS NC III

5ACKNOWLEDGE THE PERSONNEL


A: Before anything else, I would like to acknowledge the presence of ________________________________
& _______________________. Good afternoon Ma’am/Sir.

You don’t have to worry about their presence, they are here to oversee the conduct of assessment and to check
if the conduct of assessment is in accordance with the prescribe competency assessment, methodology and
procedures. They are not here to assess you.

SUBMISSION OF ADMISSION SLIP


A: At this moment, I am going to check your attendance. Once your name is called please come forward and
present your admission slip and your ID for verification.

PRESENT THE ACCOMPLISH APPLICATION FORM & SELF-ASSESSMENT GUIDE


A: I have here with me your accomplished application form and self-assessment guide. This is an indication
that you know and can perform all the units of competency enumerated in Computer Systems Servicing NC II.

WELCOMING IN THE CENTER


A: By the way, I would like to welcome you all to TPP Training Center for your assessment in Event
Management Services NC III.

PURPOSE OF ASSESSMENT
A: The purpose of this assessment is to measure your knowledge, skills and attitudes as well as to determine
the level of your competency.

Today, I am going to administer competency assessment in EMS NC III, which has 8 core competencies. It is
a qualification level with 8 core units of competencies namely:
1. Plan and Develop proposal or Bid
2. Develop an event concept
3. Develop an event program
4. Select Venues or Sites

5. Develop and Update event Industry Knowledge
6. Provide On-site event management services
7. Manage contractors for indoor events
8. Develop and update knowledge on protocols

TASK TO BE PERFORMED
A: Today you are tasked to create an event deck which you will be going to present afterwards. In you output,
the following cores should be incorporated:
1. Plan and Develop proposal or Bid
2. Develop an event concept
3. Develop an event program

EVIDENCES OF THE ASSESSMENT


A: To gather evidences in the assessment, we will utilize Oral Questioning, Demonstration.

ASSESSMENT METHODS
A: These assessment methods will measure your underpinning knowledge and skills in Event Management
Services NC III.

18. PERSONAL NEEDS OF CANDIDATES


A: If you have personal needs, the restroom is located near the hallway. If you want to take your meal, the
canteen is located downstairs. However, during the assessment, you are no longer allowed to go out from the
assessment room.

ALLOWABLE ADJUSTMENTS
A: If you have difficulty understanding the given instructions as well as in the written test, please don’t hesitate
to ask my assistance because I am willing to assist you. If you want me to translate the questions in our local
dialect, please tell me and I am willing to do so.

DO’S & DONT’S DURING ASSESSMENT


A: Also, if you have other concerns, questions or clarifications, please raise your hand so that you will be
recognized and given appropriate assistance, however, during the assessment, please refrain from asking
questions, it is no longer allowed. If you have personal needs, please ask my permission so that we can address
your need immediately.

RIGHTS TO APPEAL
A: If you have doubts or questions with the assessment result, you have the right to appeal. Just submit a letter
to the TESDA Provincial Office where the center and the assessor are accredited.

ISSUANCE OF NC/COC
A: For the issuance of National Certificate, the AC Manager will inform you where to get your certificate in 5
working days after the assessment.

REASSESSMENT PROCEDURES
A: After the assessment if you found to be not yet competent, don’t worry because you can be reassess again.
If your reassessment is full qualification, then you are going to undergo the entire assessment procedures, but
if found that you are competent in some competencies, then your reassessment will only focus on the
competencies which you are not yet competent. Am I understood?

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS (OSH)


A: During the assessment, please observe safety. Our first aid kit is located near the door. Proper use of
Personal Protective Equipment must also be observe. Please observe proper body mechanics when lifting
breakable materials. In case of unexpected fire, we have fire extinguishers installed inside the room. Our fire
exit is also properly labelled. If you encounter any untoward incidents during the assessment, please call my
attention so that we can immediately give the appropriate first aid.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF ASSESSMENT OUTCOMES


A: With regards to the assessment results, we observed strict confidentiality. The information of your
assessment result is only available to the authorize personnel and to the institution where you have your actual
training. In relation to this, the assessment package is kept and secured. This is to ensure the integrity of the
assessment package. In line with this, may I ask the candidates to please refrain from giving any form of
information taking place during the assessment procedures. Am I understood?

DISTRIBUTION OF THE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION TO THE CANDIDATES


A: So now, I will distribute the specific instruction. Please read and understand it carefully. As I have mentioned
earlier, if you have difficulty, I am willing to translate it in our local dialect if you want.
A: Do you have further clarification or questions?

27. ASSIGNING OF WORKING STATION


A: If you have no questions, let’s proceed to the computer laboratory to start with your task. You will be given
1 hour to finish it.

28. PROCEED TO THE COMPUTER LABORATORY


A: Are all the computers functioning well?
A: Okey, on my signal you may start the task.

(ASSESSOR WILL CHECK THE CANDIDATES PERFORMANCE USING THE RATING SHEET)

29. AFTER THE TIME
A: Candidates, your time is up. Kindly proceed to the waiting area and wait for your turn for the presentation
and oral questioning.

30. ORAL QUESTIONING/INTERVIEW


A: Ms. Rose Ann Bernal, kindly follow me to the assessment area.
A: Ms. Bernal, please present your output.
(AFTER DEMO / PRESENTATION, ORAL QUESTIONING WILL FOLLOW)

31. FEEDBACKING
A: (Call the candidate one-by-one.)
A: Ms Bernal, Please take a sit.
A: How do you feel about the assessment?

A: That’s true Ms. ____________________. Your opinion coincides my observation. You really have the
knowledge and skill in performing the task given to you. You have skills in creating the whole event deck with
which you have incorporated the 3 cores that are needed. You have also excellently answered the questions
correctly. With that, I would say that you are competent in this qualification. Congratulations!
A: For the issuance of National Certificate, the AC Manager will inform you where to get your certificate in 5
working days after the assessment. Upon claiming, please secured 1 pc. Passport Size ID picture with white
background; 2 pcs. Documentary Stamp and 100 pesos for the Certification Fee.
A: With that, please sign the Competency Assessment Results Summary.
A: Do you have further questions Ms. ____________________?
A: Okey, Thank you very much and once again CONGRATULATIONS!

A: Good morning Ms Cordero. Please take a sit.


A: How do you feel about the assessment?
A: Are you nervous the whole time while doing the task? So what will you do if you will be asked to perform the
same task next time?
A: That’s good. If you will do that, surely you will become competent in this qualification. Actually, you already
have some skills. In fact, you have the in developing the proposal and the event concept. However, you have
not included in your output the event program? It seems like, because of nervousness, you have forgotten it.
So based on your performance, I would say that you are not yet competent however you can still apply for re-
assessment. You can come back after a month for the re-assessment or when you feel confident enough that

you have acquired the competence. Don’t worry, you will only be re-assessed on the part of the activity that
you were found to be not yet competent. And this is to Develop an Event program.

A: If you have doubts with the assessment results, you have the right to appeal. Just submit a letter to the
TESDA Provincial Office where the center and the assessor are accredited.

32. ASSESSMENT REPORTS WILL BE SUBMITTED TO AC MANAGER


A: The assessment reports will be given to the AC Manager. Afterwards, the AC Manager will give it to the
Processing Officer to process and accomplish the Registry of Workers Assessed and Certified (RWAC). The
Processing Officer will sign the RWAC and other reports. Then, this will be given back to the Assessor and AC
Manager to sign the reports and other documents. Then, the assessment package with the accomplished
reports and other documents will be given back to the TESDA Representative.
