Good morning students! How are you today? How was Good morning ma’am. We’re good ma’am.
your weekend? It’s Monday, so let us enjoy this day with
a positive vibes. However, are your brains still intact?
Class, do you still remember our lesson last week?
Very good! Our lesson last week is about idioms/ Yes, ,Ma’am. Our lesson is about
idiomatic expressions. Student, idioms is an expression Idioms/idiomatic expressions.

look beyond the words and dig deeper so that we can
understand it. Am I understood?
Since you all absorb our past lesson last week, let us Yes, ma’am.
proceed to our new lesson but before that I want to ask
something.
Who among you here have a special someone in your
life? Students raised their hands.
How would you show to someone that you cherish them?
Are you willing to do anything just for him/her to prove
that you love him/her.
Just like in the fantasy movies; for example the
superheroes, they show their love by saving people’s
lives from bad people or from monsters. Class, are you
willing to be a super hero? To offer your life just to save
someone?
Yes, class, in this world we should show love and respect
to other people. We should have harmony or harmonious
relationship so that there is a peace in every ones heart.
E. Presentation
The reason why I asked you those questions because it
has the similarities to our new lesson which is the story of
“Country’s Good Son” we are going to discuss and
analyse why it has a rare title “The country’s good son”
Do you have any idea what is all about? Class, are you
ready to explore and read the wonderful story? So now,
sit up straight and listens.

G. Discussion/ Lesson Proper


At this point, we are going to read the first paragraph
altogether and analyse it afterwards. Anyone can share
their insight about what happened in this paragraph? Just
raised your hand, do not answer me in chorus. Student
no. six, where do you think the story happened?
Who are the characters which revealed in this
paragraph? Ma’am I think the story happened in the market
Very good! In the first paragraph, it is stated that Lin and the characters which being presented are
Aung’s mother has a shop in the Mingalodon Market Lin Aung, Lin Aung’s mother and the soldiers.
Wherein his son helped her during holidays and it is
where the soldiers bought their daily necessities and if it
is Sunday soldiers are coming to buy their foods.

Let’s go to the second paragraph, everybody reads.

Direction: Arrange the sequence of events of the


Literary text.

 A young man appeared at Lin Aungs’ shop and


asked for a slipper. He said “Can I take only the
right side of the slipper?”

 The young man came back and he had another


young man. Both of them shared a pair of slipper.

 Lin Aung understands the situation. They shared


a pair of slipper because the first young man had
a false left leg while the other man has a false
right leg.

 At Mingalodon market, Lin Aung’s mother had a


shop and they sell slippers.

 Lin Aung was stunned by the young man


statement. He can’t sell only the right side of the
slipper the other side will be useless. So the
young man said he will look for a partner.

 Lin Aung was filled with the desire to become a


Country’s Good Son of the country.

 Lin Aung thought that these young men were a


good individual; they were protecting the country
from the enemies. They are different from those
drug addicts he reads at newspaper who wasting
their lives and kill themselves.

 Lin Aung respect and honour them and said


“when I grow up I will try to be a Country’s Good
Son like you. The soldiers admire his intention.

 Lin Aung pities them and filled with acquisition he


asked if they felt sad that they only have one leg.
The soldiers told them “why should we be sad”
“We are proud to offer our lives for our country.
We are proud to lose a leg in protecting our
country.”
