PRIOR TO ACCEPTING THE RIG FOR OPERATIONS, ENSURE THAT:-


 THE RIG IS FULLY OPERATIONAL AND TESTED.
 MAST IS ALIGNED TO THE ROTARY TABLE AS WELL AS TO THE CELLAR CENTRE.
 ENOUGH AMOUNT OF WATER IS AVAILABLE IN THE TANKS TO DRILL THE SURFACE
HOLE.
 ALL DRILLING DOWNHOLE EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND IN GOOD
WORKING CONDITION.
 SOLIDS CONTROL EQUIPMENT IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER.
 SUFFICIENT LOST CIRCULATION MATERIALS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE ON LOCATION.

CLEANING AND CIRCULATE OUT EACH PILL BEFORE PUMPING ADDITIONAL ONE.
 START DRILLING WITH REDUCED W.O.B. (10-15 K-LB) AND HIGH R.P.M. (130-140) TO KEEP HOLE
VERTICAL.
 THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF HAVING L.O.C. IN MARMARICA AS EXPERIENCED IN THIS FORMATION.
 USE MAXIMUM GPM ONCE BHA PASSED 300 FT.

 SO, IF LOSSES IS ENCOUNTERED AND CAN BE TOLERATED, SKIP TO STEP # 4 AND


PROCEED OTHERWISE PROCEED AS FOLLOWING:

a) DRILL AHEAD WITHOUT RETURN UNTIL THE PENETRATION RATE INDICATES A CHANGE IN
FORMATION.
 IN ORDER TO FACILITATE DETECTING ANY CHANGE IN FORMATION, ALWAYS MAINTAIN CONSTANT
DRILLING PARAMETERS
 SWEEP HOLE WITH H.V.P LOADED WITH LCM (60-80 PPB) DURING THE INITIAL BLIND DRILLING AND
IF LOSSES BECAME TOLERATABLE SKIP TO STEP NO. 4 AND PROCEED, OTHERWISE PROCEED WITH
THE NEXT STEP.

b) POOH TO ± 50 FT ABOVE THE THIEF ZONE AND SPOT +/- 100 BBL HI-VIS PILL LOADED WITH (60-
80 PPB) LCM. CONTINUE POOH TO SURFACE.

c) RIH WITH O.E.D.P. TO ± 50 FT ABOVE THE THIEF ZONE. SET BALANCED CEMENT PLUG AS
FOLLOWING :

d) POOH AND OBSERVE WELL FOR LOSSES WHILE WAIT ON CEMENT FOR +/- 4 HR’S (CHECK
SURFACE SAMPLES), AFTER THAT FILL HOLE WITH D.WTR IF SEVER LOSSES IS OBSERVED RIH
AGAIN WITH O.E.D.P +/- 50 – 100 FT ABOVE THIEF ZONE AND SET ADDITIONAL CMT PLUG,
OTHERWISE PROCEED AS FOLLOWS.

e) RIH WITH 17 ½” BIT AND BHA. TAG T.O.C. WITH CIRCULATION AND +/- 10 K-LB AND CLEAN OUT
THE CEMENT.
 MAX. WOB WHILE D.O.C IS 10 KLB.
 IF CEMENT TAGGED BELOW THE DEPTH AT WHICH FIRST LOSSES WAS ENCOUNTERED AND STILL
HAVING THE SAME LOSSES (EITHER WITH OR WITHOUT D.O.C.), REPEAT FROM STEP (b) TO (e).

3. CONTINUE DRILLING. 17 ½” HOLE TO THE SURFACE CSG POINT TO +/- 3,000 FT ( ± 84 FT INTO

4. AT CSG. POINT, SWEEP AND CIRCULATE 1 X 50 BBLS SUN SWEEP PILL (0.25 PPB) TO
CONDITION MUD/HOLE AND MAKE SHORT TRIP TO BHA (DC’s) DEPTH TO CHECK FOR TIGHT
SPOT, RIH TO BOTTOM, SWEEP AND CIRCULATE 1 X 50 BBLS SUN SWEEP PILL (0.25 PPB) ,
SPOT +/- 50 BBL HI-VIS PILL, DROP THE MULTI SHOT SURVEY THEN. COOH WITH SLM TO
SURFACE.

 REMOVE D/P’S SCREEN BEFORE PUMP SUN SWEEP PILL (NO NEED TO REMOVE THE SUCTION PUMP
SCREEN ).
 REPORT ANY TIGHT SPOT DEPTH IF ENCOUNTERED DURING THE WIPER TRIP.
 RECEPROCATE DP WHILE CIRC. AND COND. TO ENHANCE HOLE CLEANING.

 CLEAN ALL 13 3/8” CASING JOINT THREADS AND DRIFT SAME WITH 12.259” API RABBIT.
 CHECK FLOAT EQUIPMENT BEFORE RIH.
 MAKE UP AND THREAD LOCK THE FLOAT SHOE AND THE FLOAT COLLAR TO THE CASING ON THE
PIPE RACK & CHECK SAME BEFORE RIH.
 MONITOR LOSSES WHILE RIH WITH CASING & REPORT SAME.
 TORQUE UP THE CASING CONNECTIONS TO THE TRIANGULAR MARK & REPORT THE TRQ. VALUE IN
DMR.
 THREAD LOCK THE FIRST TWO JOINTS AND THE CONNECTION ABOVE THE FLOAT COLLAR (USING
CASING DOPE WITH FRICTION FACTOR 1 ON THE REMAINING JOINTS).
 FILL CASING WHILE RIH.
 ACCORDING TO SURGE AND SWAB RUNS WILL BE ISSUED LATER
 CIRCULATE BTM/UP’s TILL SAKER CLEAN (AT LEAST 1.5 CSG CAPACITY)

b) PUMP THE PRE-FLUSH W/ 8 BPM AND RELEASE THE BOTTOM PLUG. MIX AND PUMP THE LEAD
SLURRY W/ 5-7 BPM AND TAIL SLURRY W/ 4-5 BPM.

 RECIPROCATE CASING WHILE MIX AND PUMP THE CEMENT SLURRY.


 MONITOR WELL FOR LOSSES WHILE MIX AND PUMP CEMENT SLURRY. AND REPORT SAME.

c) RELEASE THE TOP PLUG AND DISPLACE THE SLURRY AT +/- 8 BPM. SLOW DOWN TO +/- 2 BPM FOR
THE LAST +/- 15 BBL’S PRIOR TO BUMPING THE PLUG. BUMP THE PLUG GRADUALLY WITH +/- 1000
PSI OVER THE FINAL DISPLACEMENT PRESSURE FOR 10 MIN’S (MAX 2500 PSI).

 USE ISOLATE TANK FOR THE DISPLACEMENT MUD VOLUME TO AVOID OVER DISPLACEMENT.
 RECIPROCATE CASING WHILE ALL CEMENTING JOB (3-5 FT/STROKE).
 IF SLACK OFF WT INCREASE WHILE RECIPROCATE, SET CSG (1’-3’) OFF BTM & LEAVE IT THERE
WHILE COMPLETE CMT JOB.
 MONITOR & CALCULATE LOSSES WHILE CIRCULATION, PUMPING CEMENT, DISPLACMENT, ALSO
WHEN CEMENT START TO BE IN ANNULUS AND REPORT ANY LOSSES IF OBSERVED.
 CALCULATE THE DISPLACEMENT VOLUME AT WHICH THE SLURRY STARTS TO EXIT TO THE HOLE &
AT THIS POINT COUNT THE LOSSES STARTING FROM THIS STAGE SEPARATELY & REPORT SAME IN
THE D.M.R.
 FROM THE F.D.PRESS. & THE CALCULATED LOSSES , ESTIMATE THE EXPECTED T.O.CMT & REPORT
SAME IN THE DMR.
 IF PLUG DOES NOT BUMP AFTER THE CALCULATED DISPLACEMENT VOLUME, CONTINUE TO
DISPLACE, BUT DO NOT EXCEED ONE CSG JOINT CAPACITY.

d) BLEED OFF PRESSURE GRADUALLY TO CHECK THE FLOAT EQUIPMENT.

 IF THE FLOAT EQUIPMENT DOES NOT HOLD WAIT ON CEMENT UNDER THE FINAL DISPLACEMENT

 THE PERCENT OF EXCESS MAY BE INCREASED DEPEND ON LOSSES STATUS WHILE DRLG SURFACE

 IT IS DESIRED TO BRING THE TAIL SLURRY TO + 600’ ABOVE THE 13 3/8” CASING SHOE AND THE

f) INSTALL GUSSETS / BRACES BETWEEN 13 3/8" CSG AND 20" CONDUCTOR TO ALIGN 13 3/8" CSG
WITH ROTARY TABLE.

 WASH DOWN LAST 3 JT’s AND CIRCULATE TILL SHAKER CLEAN (AT LEAST 1.5 CSG CAPACITY).

12. P/U & M/U THE 7” HYD. LINER HANGER W/ 7” LINER TOP ISOLATION PKR AS ONE SET & CIRCULATE 1.5 TIMES
THE LINER CAPACITY MAX. ALLOWABLE PRESSURE MUST NOT EXCEED 900 PSI AT SURFACE, TO MAKE SURE
THAT THE CEMENTING PACK OFF BUSHING IS NOT LEAKING.
NOTES:
 P/U THE LINER HANGER ASSY. VIA USING LIFTING BELT, SECURED BY SAFETY CLAMP).
 SET SLIPS ON THE LAST JOINT OF LINER. CAREFULLY, PICK UP THE LINER ASSEMBLY. INSTALL THE LINER
WIPER PLUG ONTO THE SLICK JOINT WHEN THE LINER HANGER ASSEMBLY IS HANGING ON THE
ELEVATORS IN THE DERRICK, IF THIS HAS NOT BEEN PREVIOUSLY DONE. APPLY DOPE OR GREASE ON THE
WIPER PLUG FINS AND SWAB CUPS RUBBER PRIOR TO INSERTING THEM INTO THE LINER. MAKE UP THE
LINER HANGER ASSEMBLY ONTO THE LAST JOINT OF LINER. APPLY THE CORRECT MAKE-UP TORQUE FOR
THE SPECIFIC CONNECTION.
 ENSURE DURING THE MAKEUP OF LINER HANGER ASSEMBLY CONNECTION THAT THE HANDLING SUB IS
FREE TO ROTATE IN THE ELEVATOR AND THAT THE SETTING TOOL ROTATES WITH LINER HANGER
ASSEMBLY.
 PICK UP LINER HANGER ASSEMBLY THREE TO FOUR FEET WITHOUT REMOVING SLIPS, MAKE SURE NOT
TO TAKE OUT THE SLIPS FROM ROTARY TILL IT CONFIRMED THAT RUNNING TOOL IS FULLY ENGAGED AND
THE STRING IS HANGED ON RUNNING TOOL.
 PULL CASING SLIPS OUT AND LOWER THE LINER HANGER ASSEMBLY UNTIL THE JUNK BONNET (JBT) IS AT
WAIST LEVEL. DO NOT PLACE SLIPS ON TBR.
 MAX. ALLOWABLE PRESSURE MUST NOT EXCEED 900 PSI AT SURFACE WHILE CIRCULATION TO
AVOID SETTING THE HYD. LINER.

13. RECORD THE P/U WT & THE S/O WT AND REPORT SAME IN D.M.R.

14. CONT. RIH W/ 7” HYD. LINER HANGER W/ 7” LINER TOP ISOLATION PKR AS ONE SET ON DRIFTED 5” DRILL PIPE
TO 9-5/8” CSG. SHOE.

15. AT 9-5/8” CASING SHOE, BREAK CIRCULATION; CHECK THE P/U WEIGHT & S/O WEIGHT.

 BREAK CIRC. BEFORE ENTERING OPEN HOLE & RECORD STRG. WT.
 FILL THE LINER CSG EVERY 1,000 FT WHILE RIH.
17. SPACE OUT THE DRILL PIPE TO ALLOW PROPER HANDLING OF THE CEMENT MANIFOLD, TAG BOTTOM MARK
THE PIPES, PICK UP 5 FT UP TO THE SETTING DEPTH, TO HAVE T.O.LINER @ +/- 8,000 FT LAST MOVEMENT
SHOULD BE UP NO SLACK IS REQUIRED.
18. DROP THE 1 3/4” SETTING BALL, AND CIRCULATE THE BALL DOWN TO BALL SEAT IN THE ST LANDING SUB,
PUMP BALL DOWN TO ROTATING BALL SEAT AT NO MORE THAN APPROXIMATELY 1-3 BPM OR AS
RECOMMENDED BY OPERATOR.
NOTE: DO NOT PRESSURE UP ON BALL SEAT AT THIS TIME.

19. AFTER LANDING THE BALL, PRESSURE UP TO +/- 1,600 PSI TO SET THE LINER HANGER, SLACK OFF THE LINER
WEIGHT PLUS 10,000 - 20,000 LBS FROM THE DRILL PIPE WEIGHT TO CHECK LINER SETTING.

20. BLEED THE PRESSURE, SLACK OFF ANOTHER 20,000 LBS. ON THE SETTING TOOL TO MAKE SURE THAT THE
SETTING TOOL UNDER COMPRESSION.
 IF A LOSS OF WEIGHT IS NOT INDICATED, THE LINER HANGER DID NOT SET AND THE PREVIOUS STEPS
SHOULD BE REPEATED INCREASING PRESSURE NO MORE THAN 250 PSI OVER ORIGINAL SHEAR
PRESSURE. REPEAT UNTIL HANGER IS SET. BLEED PRESSURE DOWN AFTER SETTING.
 THE SETTING TOOL IS READY FOR RELEASE ONCE THE HANGER HAS BEEN SET. THE DRILL STRING SHOULD
BE SLACKED-OFF ONTO THE SETTING. IMPORTANT: THE STHR RUNNING TOOL WILL NOT RELEASE IF
THERE IS ANY TENSION PRESENT IN THE DRILL STRING. ALSO THERE IS NO STROKE IN THE SETTING TOOL.
21. SLOWLY PRESSURE UP DRILL-PIPE TO THE PRESET SETTING TOOL SHEAR VALUE +/- 2,400 psi & HOLD FOR 1
MINUTE. BLEED PRESSURE DOWN

22. P/U NOT MORE 3 - 4 FT MAX. & CHECK THE P/U WEIGHT, (THE P/U WEIGHT SHOULD BE LESS THAN THE
WEIGHT ON BTM BY THE LINER WEIGHT).

NOTE:-
DO NOT PICK UP MORE THAN 3-4 FEET (EXCESSIVE PICK UP MAY CAUSE THE TAMPING DOG ASSEMBLY
TO COME OUT OF TBR OR CAUSE THE CEMENTING BUSHING OR PACK-OFF TO DISENGAGE.

23. SLACK OFF 15,000 LBS. ON THE SETTING TOOL & SHEAR THE BALL W/ + 3,100 PSI.

24. CIRCULATE WHILE MIXING CEMENT SLURRY.

25. A) PUMP THE SPACER. MIX AND PUMP THE CEMENT SLURRY USING THE CEMENT UNIT (AS PER CEMENT LAB.
TEST).

NOTES:-
ROTATE LINER DURING CMT JOB
PUMP THE SPACER AND THE SLURRY INSIDE THE D/P WITH + 5 BPM.
CALCULATE THE CEMENT VOLUME BASED ON CALIPER HOLE PLUS 15% EXCESS.
USE THE BATCH MIXER TO PERFORM THE CEMENT JOB.
PLAN TO HAVE THE TOP OF CEMENT +/- 200 FT ABOVE THE TOP OF TIE BACK PKR.
MONITOR WELL FOR LOSSES WHILE PUMP THE CEMENT.
B) RELEASE DART PLUG BEHIND THE CEMENT SLURRY AND DISPLACE SAME WITH MUD USING THE CEMENT UNIT.
SHEAR-OUT THE WIPER PLUG.

NOTES:-
CHECK THE CMT LINES FLUSHING AFTER RELEASE THE PUMP DOWN PLUG WAS MADE INTO STRG
JUST AFTER PUMP DOWN PLUG.
CONTINUE DISPLACE THE SPACER AND THE SLURRY WITH +/- 5 BPM INSIDE THE D/P.
TO BE ABLE TO MONITOR THE WIPER PLUG SHEARING, REDUCE THE PUMPING RATE TO +/-2 BPM FOR THE
LAST 10 BBL’S PRIOR THE DART PLUG LATCH THE WIPER PLUG.
CHECK THE RATING SURFACE PRESSURE TO SHEAR THE WIPER PLUG & REPORT IN D.M.R.
START A NEW COUNT OF THE DISPLACEMENT VOLUME AFTER SHEARING THE WIPER PLUG AND THEN
INCREASE THE DISPLACEMENT RATE TO +/- 8 BPM.
MONITOR THE WELL FOR LOSSES WHILE DISPLACE THE CEMENT.

c) CONTINUE TO DISPLACE THE CEMENT SLURRY TILL BUMP THE WIPER PLUG AND TEST WITH 1000 PSI ABOVE
THE FINAL DISPLACEMENT PRESSURE FOR 10 MIN AS CSG P/T BLEED-OFF PRESSURE GRADUALLY TO CHECK
BACK FLOW.

NOTES:-
CONTINUE TO DISPLACE THE SLURRY WITH +/- 8 BPM AND TO BE ABLE TO MONITOR THE WIPER PLUG
BUMPING, REDUCE THE PUMPING RATE TO +/-2 BPM FOR THE LAST 10 BBL’S PRIOR BUMPING THE WIPER
PLUG
IF THE PLUG NOT BUMPED AFTER THE PRE-DETERMINED DISPLACEMENT VOLUME STOP PUMPING.

26. PICK UP LINER STRG TO PULL TAMPING DOG ASSEMBLY OUT OF THE TBR +/- 11 FT OR AS PER SMITH ENG.
RECOMMENDATION THEN SLACK OFF DRILL PIPE TO ACHIEVE THE MINIMUM SETTING LOAD AT THE PACKER,
OBSERVES PKR SETTING ON MARTIN DICKER AND RECORD SAME IN D.D.R.

DO NOT SET THE TOP PKR IF YOU HAVE ABNORMAL OR COMPLETE LOSSE WHILE CEMENT JOB.

III. RUN HTHP FILTRATE LOSS TEST AT 350F AND 500 PSI.
IV. MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE SOLID CONTROL EQUIPMENT IS RUN PROPERLY ALL THE TIME

 RUN THE CENTRIFUGE AND MUD CLEANER TO AVOID THE SOLID BUILD-UP.
 BACK FLUSHES THE CENTRIFUGE TO AVOID PLUGGING PROBLEMS.

V. MONITOR MUD WEIGHT WHILE DRILLING 12 ¼” & 8 ½” HOLE AND DILUTE THE ACTIVE
SYSTEM AS NECESSARY WITHOUT CHANGING THE RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES.
