• Each activity has to be identified by unique activity
IDs.
• Activity IDs have prefix, suffix, and increment
information.

• In order to change activity ID coding; select
related activities, right click on them, and select
‘Renumber Activity IDs’ option.

RESOURCE ASSIGNMENTS
• Any resource defined in the resource dictionary can be
assigned to an activity.
• There is no limitation for resource assignment to an activity.
• In order to assign resources;
 Click the Resources Tab in the Activity Details.
 Click Add Resource to assign a resource.
 Select the resource from the opened dialog box.
 To assign multiple resources/roles, hold down Ctrl key and
then choose one by one.
 Click Select button, and then Close.
 Search Window can be used to quickly search for an item in
the list.

RESOURCE ASSIGNMENTS
• To define detailed information, select the appropriate
cell and enter the information for the selected activity.
• For Labor and Nonlabor resources;
Use Remaining Units/Time or Budgeted Units/Time
columns in resources tab of activities.
• For Material resources;
Use Budgeted Units column in resources tab of
activities.
• Costs are planned and managed at the activity level
according to unit prices of the assigned resources.
• Budgeted Cost = Budgeted Units x Price/Unit
