In order to use the chiller correctly and efficiently, please read the

following instructions in detail.

1. Installation requirements:
 Site requirements:

Ambient temperature: -30 to 35C.

Location: put the chiller on a flat, clean surface out of direct

sunshine and weather.

 For water cooled chiller:

Cooling tower should be chosen according to the cooling capacity of

the chiller unit. The connecting pipe diameter should be appropriate

for the flow rate and the chiller hoses.

 For air cooled chiller

Air-cooled chiller must be installed way from walls more than 1 meter,

It is to avoid poor ventilation leading to high pressure overload and

increasing power consumption.

 Remarks:

(1)It is the user’s responsibility to assure a proper ground connection.

Power load and the grounding parts should be installed in

accordance with the relevant construction regulations.

(2)The chilled water pipelines should be wrapped with insulation.

2. Preparation for startup


 Check the nameplate to confirm the electrical power supply

0.5HP to 2HP: 220V-240V/50Hz 1Ph,

phase wire L, neutral wire N and earth wire E.

3HP ~ : 3ph 380V-415V/ 50HZ.

3 phase wires (R, S, T), neutral wire N and earth wire E.

The chiller is protected against a phase replay.

 Confirm all of the plumbing connected well and keep the inlet and

outlet valves open. (Refer to the installation sketch map.)

 Before start the pump, confirm the built-in tank with full of chilled

water or other type coolant. (Note: please choose the chilled medium

according to requirements.)

 For water-cooled type chiller, please confirm the correct rotation of

cooling pump and cooling tower.

3. Operation sequence
1. Open all water inlet and outlet valves, and ensure the waterways

unblocked.

2. Turn on the air switch .

3. Only for Water cooled chiller: if cooling tower and the cooling

water circulation pump are controlled by the chiller system, cooling

tower and cooling water pump should be start on first.

4. While the above steps finished, press for power on the

chiller unit, then press for start compressors.

5. Press for stop the chiller unit.

Remarks:


1 User settings: parameter settings and meaning, please reference 5.1

parameter setting table


2 Unit status: If the part is running, the circle is filled; if not, it is blank. And

while current detection is disabled, current data will not be indicated.


3 History list: check the latest alarm, press for 2 seconds, history

record will be deleted.


4 Utilization rate: each compressor running time in total


5 System version: It is the version of the control system.

4.3 Power on :


1 Turn on the air switch , chiller unit is connected with power.


2 Press , when the indicator on the key is lightening, the

chilled water pump is started running;

Then press ( if the system is set as ONE KEY START, no need to

press this key), the indicator on key is lightening, if the processing


water temperature (PV temperature) is higher than the set temperature

added the temperature variation data, the axil fan or the cooling water

pump will be started running after 10 seconds time delay, and another 10

seconds time delay, the compressor will be started running;

4.4 Temperature setting

In main interface, press and for adjusting temperature to

the required data, press to confirm ( or no action within 3 seconds),


then temperature setting is finished.

4.5 Power off

While stopping the chiller unit, press , indicator of key is


lightening, after 10 seconds time delay, compressor will be stopped firstly;

and the indicator of key is flicking, and after another 10 seconds


time delay, the axil fan or the cooling water pump will be stopped secondly;

and 10 seconds time delay, the chilled water pump will be stopped

automatically finally; then the indicator of key is put out; and press

key , the indicator of key is also put out.

4.6 Temperature control logic:



1 Chiller with one compressor:

 While processing water temperature is increasing, and

processing water temperature (PV temperature) ≥ [set

temperature + temperature variation], compressor will be started

automatically;

 While processing water temperature is decreasing, and

processing water temperature (PV temperature) < [set

temperature - temperature variation], compressor will be

stopped automatically;


2 Chiller with two compressors:

 While processing water temperature is increasing, and

processing water temperature (PV temperature) ≥ [set

temperature + temperature variation], one compressor will be

started automatically; while PV temperature ≥ [set temperature +

temperature variation data + 1C], another compressor will be

started automatically.

 While processing water temperature is decreasing, and

processing water temperature (PV temperature) < [set

temperature + temperature variation], one compressor will be

stopped automatically; while PV temperature<[set temperature

- temperature variation], the other compressor will be stopped

automatically

Remark

If the chiller unit is in idle for long time, please turn off the air switch

, and discharge the water/fluid in the tank, shell and tube, or plate

heat exchanger.

Press key and at the same time,password 4561 should be

put in. With key and to choose the correct number, and press

key to confirm the data and move to the next number. After

password put in, press key to enter functional menu of

manufacturer settings.

4 Manufacturer debug

3phase power source, 7 alarm outputs and 4 relay outputs can be tested

by this function. If chiller running well, that means wiring and settings are

normal, if any alarm, that means some settings are not correct or wiring not

good. Please adjust according the following steps operation.


5 Configure guide

Some manufacturer settings can be set in Configure guide, please

reference 5.2 ○

8. Notes for operation


1 Chilled pump cannot be start if storage tank without water; (For

chiller model above 7.5 HP, water level protector will be installed in the

tank. When tank with lower level water or empty, chilled pump will be

stopped automatically, the chiller will display water level fault and

2 Please do not frequently operate the power switch.


3 While processing water temperature is decreased to the set

temperature, compressor will be stopped automatically. This is

normally running condition.


4 Do not set temperature below 5C. It is to avoid coolant freezed in

evaporator and protect chiller unit working normally;

If the chiller is not in use for long time, please discharge the

chilled water (other medium).


5 To ensure the chiller with best performance, please clean the

condenser, evaporator and the water filter regularly.

Remark: Stop the chiller once there is alarm, check and solve the

problem before restart (Reference 6 and 7), or contact service technician

at the first time.

Note 1:Poor cooling & solution

While the condenser cooling bad, the compressor will be inefficient,

the operating current increased; While high pressure of the air cooled chiller

reaches 24kg/cm2, and high pressure of the water cooled chiller is up to 20

kg/cm2, the compressor can be trip-out under the protection of the high

pressure switch and stop running because of bad cooling, high pressure

overload, and it will display fault code or fault indication, then please check

that the circulating water in the cooling tower is running well, the temperature

of cooling water is not over-high, the fan of the cooling tower and the water

pump are running, and the cooling water valve is fully open (If it is an air

cooled chiller, please confirm that the radiator is not dirty or choked.). All the

stated come back to normal, the chiller can be running well after restarting by

pressing “REST”. If the high pressure overload state is a frequent problem,

please clean the condenser as soon as possible.

Note 2 Low pressure because of shortage of refrigerant & solution

1. While water temperature is over 5℃ and the pressure displays by the

low pressure gauge is below 2 kg/cm2, indicates shortage of

refrigerant , firstly the leak should be filled, the dryer filter should be

changed, and it should be drawing vacuum again, and charge

refrigerant with proper volume.

2. While leaking part in water, please stop the chiller immediately, and

discharge water of the water tank quickly. In order to avoid that the

chiller is damaged badly for the compressor suck water, please notify

the after-sale service for dealing with the problem.

Note 3 Problem of Low pressure or High pressure & solution:

If the compressor of the water cooled chiller is running well, it is the

best state while it displays high pressure within the scope of 12.5 kg/cm2 to 15

kg/cm2 (while for the air cooled chiller, it is best within the scope of 14~17

kg/cm2 ), but it should not be above 19.5 kg/cm2. If the pressure of the water

cooled chiller is above 19.5 kg/cm2, or the pressure of the air cooled chiller is

above 24 kg/cm2, the high pressure switch will turn off by itself, then please

deal with it according to Footnote(1). It is the best state when the low pressure

is within the scope of 3.1 kg/cm2 to 4.5 kg/cm2, but it could not be lower than

2 kg/cm2. If the low pressure is below 2 kg/cm2, the switch of the low pressure

will turn off by itself, please deal with it according to Footnote (2).

If the difference between high pressure and low pressure is little or

they are equal, while the compressor is running, that means the valve of the

compressor damaged or broken up, then the machine should be stopped

immediately and notify the company to deal with the problem. Please be

aware that the stated conditions would happen when the compressor is

running. If the compressor is not operating, it is normal while the high pressure

and the low pressure come into equilibrium.

Note 4

If the fault indicators and the protecting relays are normal, but

compressor cannot be started, please check the following possible problems:

1. Set temperature is too high or the temperature switch is damaged;

2. The switch is damaged;

3. Anti-freezing switch is damaged;

4. Pressure switch is tripped or damaged;

5. Compressor overload relay is damaged or tripped;

6. Solenoid relay is damaged or overload protector is damaged;

7. Water level is too low;

8. Chilled water flow switch is damaged;

Attention: if any above listed fault happened, the compressor will be

stopped automatically and cannot be started;

9 Maintenance

1.Clean the condenser, evaporator regularly to ensure the good working

condition and performance;

2. For water-cooled type chiller, cooling tower should also be cleaned

regularly to ensure good running condition;
