Rail (“T” System) Peak Direction Surcharge on Cash Fares
Downtowner zone cash surcharge $.25
Zones 1 and 2 cash surcharge $.50
A $.50 surcharge is added to all zone 1 and zone 2 cash fares on the “T” during the
peak commuting hours on Weekdays: Inbound from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and
outbound from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. based on when the fare is paid.
