CSC 253: Projects Assessment (50%)


For Projects Assessment, students are required to prepare 3 Projects that been assigned. For Group
Project 1 and 2, students are required to form a group of 3@4 members while Individual Project is
Individual Assessment. Each group is required to find one project topic with the theme set by the
lecturer for that semester.

INDIVIDUAL PROJECT: (INDIVIDUAL) 10%

1. Text & Image Designing (10%)

Every student is required to design a Poster (example) according to the title stated by your
designated lecturer. The design must follow the guidelines as stated below:

1. Size: A4
2. Content: Title, Logo, Introduction, Background, etc.
3. Software: Any multimedia software (Adobe Photoshop CC recommended, etc)

Individual Assignment need to be submitted on: Week 4@5

GROUP PROJECT 1: (GROUP PROJECT) 10%

2. Audio and Video Production (10%)

Students in a group of 3@4 are required to prepare a video and audio production (Movie)
according to the title stated by your designated lecturer. The production must follow the guidelines
as stated below:

4. Resolution: 1280 X 720 or HD (Recommended)


5. Content: Introduction, Sound, Video, Text, Image, Animation etc.
6. Software: Any multimedia software ( Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe Audition CC, Filmora,
Sony Vegas recommended, etc)

Group project 1 need to be submitted on: Week 7@8

GROUP PROJECT 2: (GROUP PROJECT) 30%

3. Interactive Multimedia Project using Authoring Tools (30%)

Students in a group of 3@4 are required to develop an Interactive Multimedia Application using
recommended Authoring Tools. The development consists of the following phases:

1. Project Proposal (5%) and Storyboard (5%)


2. Project & Presentation (20%)

Students are required to prepare a project proposal according to the proposal guidelines as stated
below:
1. Introduction
2. Company’s Background & Team member’s
3. Project’s Background
4. Literature Review – Previous work of the related topic
5. Objectives of the Project
6. Scope of the Project
7. Site Map / Navigational Chart / Flowchart
8. Project Planning / Gantt chart
9. Conclusion

Proposal need to be submitted on: Week 6@7

2. Storyboard (5%)

Illustration of the project in visual showing all the elements involve, linking of elements, pages
and etc.

Storyboard need to be submitted on: Week 8@9

3. Project & Presentation (20%)

Students are required to prepare a main project according to your project proposal previously
using authoring tools. The main project must follow the guidelines as stated below:

1. Project type : Interactive Multimedia Project


2. Project Duration: Interactive Project, there is no time limitation
3. Project Content: Depends on the Proposal and Storyboard.
4. Software: Any Authoring Tools (Adobe Animate CC recommended)

Project need to be submitted and presented on: Week 13 @14
