FORM - 18A-21A - Aircraft Visit Checklist - TYPE TRAINING - B1 - An - B2 - REV - Original
Guidance Notes
The following listed tasks is designed to assist your company Quality Department in view for his assistance in signing EXPO/FORM 18-21
when an aircraft visit was not available during the Theoretical stage of the EASA approved 147 type training course.
The list has been compiled as an idea of what type of systems the aircraft visits should be performed.
The time for the visit corresponds the amount of training that was given in the theoretical course. Estimated time is 1 hour for each week of theoretical training
achieved: The basic idea of the list is to detail area’s of location and basic functions that assisted the engineer in completing the theoretical stages of the
certification.
On completion of the listed training below, please can you fill in the Aircraft registration, Date of visit, and the corresponding ATA chapters that where
observed during the visit on FORM/ 18-21
The following list does not represent the Practical or OJT element of the training, Only applying to the Theoretical stages, as detailed in the customer contract,
and should be targeted around Component locations, ECAM / Computer functions, system Bite checks, Basic troubleshooting and operation of doors and
other usual servicing functions, but is not detailed around component changes, detailed troubleshooting, manual procedures, servicing accomplishments
Discussions with engineering staff relating to troubleshooting, component replacement, repair and bite checking is welcomed in view for the student to gain an
overall knowledge of the aircraft type however NO function must be attempted that will cause or possibly cause the CRS of the aircraft to become invalidated
The intention of this sheet is to assist in the detail to assist the student in the systems instruction on the Theoretical elements and NOT to compromise the
integrity, operational schedule or maintenance schedule of the aircraft.
