SANKEI GIKEN INDIA PVT, LTD, BAWAL (HARYANA)


SANKEI GIKEN is one of the growing multi national sheet metal companies in India in automobile sector with
latest mechanical machinery like robotic welding, automatic mechanical process, automatic electroplating plant,
automatic sheet feeder machinery & hydraulic stretch bending machines. They have wide base of customers as OEM’S
like HONDA SIEL CARS, HMSI, SUZUKI MOTORCYCLES, and YAMAHA etc. It is having their plants in Japan, USA, China,
Taiwan & India.
SGIPL is a 100% subsidiary of SANKEI GIKEN KOGYO Co. LTD., which is a famous Exhaust Systems Manufacturer in
Japan for Two & Four wheelers. In India, SGIPL is in the business of manufacturing Exhaust Systems and other
aesthetic parts for SUZUKI MOTORCYCLE INDIA, HMSI and YAMAHA for various two wheelers. In the additional to
above, SGIPL has a contract for manufacturing Door Sash, Sash Garnish and Partly Exhaust System for HSCI & HSPP
as well.

OVERALL WORK RESPONSIBILITIES:


 Responsible for issuing LOIs and POs for suppliers.
 Alternate source development of existing parts and involve in new product development.
 Estimating cost of components (based on analysis of drawings & mfg. processes involved) for new products.
 Responsible for keeping purchasing cost as low as possible to give good tolerance in company’s profit.
 Examining vendors’ request for price change, recommending optimum price and making final settlement
through negotiation.
 Preparing database and MIS reports for tracking/monitoring cost of bought-out components.
 Responsible for keeping close eye on incoming child parts and other materials to keep the purchase budget within
the limit.
 Preparing Purchase-Budget as per annual Sales-Forecast.
 Also as an extra responsibility, I’m managing BOP store & Inventory.
 Co-ordination with forwarders for transit-material updating.

 Co-ordination with overseas suppliers to get certificates like FTA to avail benefits of concessional rate of custom
duty amount on import consignments.
 Co-ordination with production deptt. to ensure timely availability of imported items for production.
 Supervision of stock-in-hand & in-transit stock for imported items.
