Scope and Limitations

This feasibility study evaluates the viability of creating a low-cost passive infrared motion sensor using locally sourced materials. It analyzes the technical, financial, and management aspects of the project. The technical chapter describes the sensor design and components. The financial chapter outlines the materials, sources of funding, and total expected expenses of approximately $590. The management chapter proposes the organizational structure and timeline required to complete the study. The overall goal is to determine if a self-made sensor could be more cost-effective than commercially available options while limiting the analysis only to technical and cost factors.

Scope and Limitations

This feasibility study, “Passive Infrared Motion sensor”, was conducted to know the

viability and to know whether the researchers’ self-made product more economical than

commercially made product. The study is limited in marketing aspect since the researchers focus

only on making a motion sensor out of low-cost materials.
