The document summarizes a talk show hosted by Rilo Husniyanwar that featured Muhammad Fahmi Rizaldi Ilham, CEO of Digital Western Corp, discussing computer memory and storage. Key points discussed include the difference between memory and storage, common types of each including ROM, RAM, magnetic storage, optical storage and flash memory, and cloud storage. Memory refers to temporary storage in RAM while power is on, whereas storage retains data permanently on physical devices even when powered off.

Conclusion of Memory and Storage Talkshow
Host Early Nigth Show is Rilo Husniyanwar
guest star is M Fahmi Rizaldi, CEO of Digital Westren Corp. Western Digital Corporation is an American computer hard disk drive manufacturer and data storage company. The product of Digital Western Corp are SSD, HHD, USB Flash Drive, Portable Drive , and Memory Card. Memory = Computer memory is any physical device capable of storing information temporarily, like RAM (random access memory), or permanently, like ROM (read-only memory). Memory devices utilize integrated circuits and are used by operating systems, software, and hardware. Storage = a storage device is any hardware capable of holding information either temporarily or permanently. Type of memory = 1. ROM ROM (Read Only Memory) is a storage medium that is used with computers and other electronic devices. As the name indicates, data stored in ROM may only be read. It is either modified with extreme difficulty or not at all. 2. RAM RAM (random-access memory) is a hardware device that allows information to be stored and retrieved on a computer. Type of storage = 1. Magnetic storage devices magnetic storage is one of the most common types of storage used with computers. (Floppy diskette, Hard drive, Magnetic strip, SuperDisk, Tape cassete, Zip cassete) 2. Optical storage devices Another common type of storage is optical storage, which uses lasers and lights as its method of reading and writing data. (Blue-ray disc, CD-ROM disc CD-R and CD-RW disc, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW disc) 3. Flash memory devices Flash memory has replaced most magnetic and optical media as it becomes cheaper because it is the more efficient and reliable solution. (USB flash drive, jump drive, or thumb drive, CF (CompactFlash), M.2, Memory card, MMC, NVMe, SDHC Card, SmartMedia Card, Sony Memory Stick, SD card, SSD, xD- Picture Card. 4. Online and Cloud Storing data online and in cloud storage is becoming popular as people need to access their data from more than one device. (Google drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, Adobe Creative Cloud)
Difference between Memory and Storage
Memory Storage Memory refers to Random Access Memory (RAM). Storage refers to physical storage devices such as hard drives. Everything the computer thinks about is stored in It is a long-term storage solution which stores all RAM. the data and information on the computer it knows about. Data is lost when the computer loses the power. Data stays intact even after power failure or if the computer freezes in the middle. RAM is faster than storage. Storage is relatively slower than RAM. RAM can access data and information instantly. As mechanical devices, they cannot access or modify data as fast as the memory.
