The best place to visit on a summer vacation is Cartagena Colombia, Cartagena is known as
the walled city and one of the most beautiful in Colombia.
Below I will give you some tips that you should take into account to visit this beautiful city.
first of all you must have all your documents up to date. choose a safe and responsible
airline.
as in all south american countries, some care must be taken, especially in large cities
Try to wear comfortable clothes, so you can enjoy the country and its pleasant climate.
Exercise 2
Hi Mom,
John and I had a great time in Ireland. Every day we got up early and took a long walk
around the country. When we returned, we usually had a big Irish breakfast that usually
consisted of two eggs, three slices of bacon, toast and jam. Usually, we asked for a cup of
coffee after breakfast: Colombian coffee, of course.
After breakfast we sometimes went swimming in the river. We often met children who
liked to swim there. They were very nice. At night, we almost always drank a few pints of
Guinness in the pub bar before going to bed. We always sleep well after that, we assure
you.

exercise unit 1.1
1. It seeks to have a broad vision: always in a time and space to react to risks. Look along
the path in front of you to see what comes in advance. Also do not forget to look back.
2. Identify the dangerous ones and plan your reaction. This can include a nearby work area,
a driver behaving strangely.
3. Slow down: when you drive too fast, you have less time to react. Slowing down will give
you more chance to act safely. You must watch for speed limit signs and obey them
4.Keep your space: if your car is heavy, you need space to stop or change direction. Keep a
safe distance on the car in front of you, usually a gap of at least two seconds. Pay constant
attention to the cars that are next to or behind.
5. Anticipate mistakes of other drivers: drivers on the road may be distracted, sleepy or
tired. By recognizing these signals you can avoid them. Exploring along the way allows
you to see the risks in front of other cars and avoid getting caught in a dangerous reaction.
6. Respect road conditions: when roads are wet and covered with fog, reduce speed. When
the brightness of the sun decreases visibility, slow down and give more space to other
drivers. Road conditions will rarely be ideal, so be prepared to adjust your driving
accordingly.

I am writing to tell you how my life is going, since we have not communicated for a long
time. I tel you that now I live in the city of Medellin, I have married and I have a new job.
About my work, I want to tell you that I manage a hotel in a large hotel agency, I have 10
establishments in charge and 60 employees, my work schedule is from 8 am to 5 pm, at
which time I perform administrative and supervisory functions.
As for my routine, it is a little complex because I must visit the establishments every day
and ensure that everything is perfect and that good customer service is provided, I also
assign shifts to my employees. By Sonia Milena Cordoba
