LOCKDOWN PERIOD

Restarting the VFD:

To avoid any type of unexpected failure of the VFD/ AC Drive, please follow the procedure given underneath:

1. Uncover the panel fan/filter cut-outs and clean them properly

2. Use industrial blower and pass pressurized air from upside or side opening in the VFD body

3. Check the control and power wire condition physically also check the continuity of the Power terminal
from input supply , Switch gear ,VFD and Motor terminal before Power ON

4. Check the earthing of each and every component physically and do the meggering as it is more
vulnerable to moisture

5. Switch-on the VFD incoming supply and leave it for at least 2 hours. Don’t give any run command to
VFD during this capacitor charging period. In the absence of a three-phase supply, single-phase supply
would also suffice.

6. Check the motor winding conditions and moisture before giving the start command

7. Check mechanical brakes or interlocks properly before giving the start command

8. Check the VFD output voltage and current before and after giving the start command

In case of any assistance required, please feel free to contact Yaskawa or our ABP anytime.
