Training Program for Kindergarten Teachers

of Murcia District I & District II


S.Y. 2019-2020

I. Rationale:
The Districts of Murcia I and II recognize Kindergarten Teachers as the key propellers of shaping the first stage of formal
education of the learners. Whatever experiences that a child may have in his first day of school, be it good or bad have in later
effect his development and learning. Though development and learning may happen at different rates from each child to another.
There is a singular truth that teachers must be knowledgeable as to what teaching strategies as to what the best strategies would
address the varied needs of the child.
As a Kindergarten teacher more that the social development, the role is to enable the child to perform a task beyond the level
of independent functioning for whatever developmental appropriate teaching strategies and activities equipped to the innocent
mind of the kindergarten learners will contribute for what they would be in the future.
It is along this premises that kindergarten teachers should be skillful, knowledgeable with powerful teaching strategies and
approach in order to produce learners equipped in physical motor, social-emotional and intellectual and cognitive skills. Thus, this
Training Program for Kindergarten Teachers is designed.
II. General Objectives:
1. To enhance the teaching skills of Kindergarten Teachers in the utilization of K to 12 teaching strategies that will contribute
meaningfully to the social-emotional, physical and cognitive development of Kindergarten Learners.
