Drawing a Spanner on AutoCAD
Objective
➢ To draw the Spanner or wrench using AutoCAD

Software
➢ AutoCAD 2016

Theory
Spanner: A wrench or spanner is a tool used to provide a grip and mechanical advantages in
applying torque to turn objects usually rotary fasteners such as nuts and bolts or keep them
from turning .There are many types of spanners like Box-end wrench, the spark plug wrench,
the combination wrench, open-end wrench,flare-nut wrench slammer wrench and many
others.

Procedure
1.Draw the circle and draw two parallel straight lines above and below the center of the circle
passing through the circle .

2.Rotate the figure at an angle of 17 degree about the center of the circle.

2.Draw another circle overlapped on first circle.

3.After cleaning up,one end of the wrench is made.

4.Draw another end of the spanner following the same procedure .

5.Join the two ends of the spanner by drawing the lines parallel to each other.

6.After following this procedure, following figure is obtained.

Conclusion :
In this experiment, I learned the method to draw the wrench using AutoCAD 2016.
