This document summarizes Karl Marx's theory of alienation, which describes how workers become separated and estranged from various aspects of their own humanity under capitalism. Specifically, it discusses how workers are alienated from the products they create, from other people, and from their own human nature due to being treated as instruments or things rather than persons in a system where they do not own the means of production and do not receive the full value of their labor. The document also notes that while capitalism creates new possibilities for human freedom, it does not actually realize those possibilities for the working class.

DIMINISH ALIENATION: (TRADITIONAL

INTERPRETATION)
“ALIENATION=SEPARATION”.
Separation of yourself from:
• The product of your labor.
• The people.
• yourself.
• Nature.
Origins of this condition are material ,in how we produce things.

ALIENATION AS COLLECTIVE FETISH:

Collective self –domination.
Alienation for Marx basically means that “society” dominates the
individual that produce it. It is similar to the idea of
FRANKENSTEIN or opening pandora’s box
Marx says:
” CAPITALISM CREATES NEW HISTORICAL POSSIBILITIES
FOR REALIZING HUMAN FREEDOM ,BUT CAPITALISM
DOES NOT ACTUALIZE THESE POSSIBILITIES.”
After all the labor class doesn’t gets the required pay or the resources equal
to or in profit for their living hood they simply cut off themselves from societal
degrees and benefits. Karl Marx's theory of alienation describes the estrangement
of people from aspects of their Gattungswesen as a consequence of living in a
society of stratified social classes. In a capitalist society, the worker's alienation
from their humanity occurs because the worker can express labour—a
fundamental social aspect of personal individuality—only through a private
system of industrial production in which each worker is an instrument: i.e., a
thing, not a person.
