I have expertise in the following educational technology:


-Educational websites/tools (Google classroom, Socrative, kahoot, dreambox, waggle,

-Apple Tv for iPad and smart board


-Smart board and Promethean board
-Document Camera
-Chromebook and apple iPad knowledge

I have had the opportunity to work in schools that provide children with 1 to 1 technology. My
first teaching experience provided each student with apple iPad, so I was able to become an
expertise at apple products. I was provided a mac book and iPad, so I was able to use skills
like apple sharing to project activities from my device to the smart board. In my current school
of employment, I have learned how to use a promethean board and document camera.

Trends in technology growth for your department or school: Discuss the current state of technology in your school
and where it may be heading. (Ex Are there computer labs? Are there ipads? Etc) This section requires a narrative
response.

My current school have an opportunity for growth as it relates to technology use. We do not
have a school library therefore we are without a technology specialist that could trouble shoot,
or train teachers in different areas of educational technology. Students grades 3-5 are 1 to 1
with Chromebooks. These Chromebooks are very old with missing keys and often make it
very hard for students to complete work. I think that we could possibly invest in a variety of
technology options for students. For example, computer labs with desktops in the event
students Chromebook is not accessible. I also think we should move in a direction that allows
for students to rent school devices so that they are able to access online work at home. I think
that COVID-19 will require all administrators to rethink this technology policy in schools and
at home.
Goals- Individual – List 3-5 goals for one academic year

1. I hope to be able to design/ incorporate technology within dance instruction for grades
3-5.
2. Learn about and implement at least 3 new dance technology sites in my classroom.
3. Use technology to create a hub for connecting students to professional dancers during
in class lessons.

Specific Annual Strategy to Accomplish Goal: Describe what it will take to reach this goal

I will accomplish the goal set by researching and connecting with other dance teachers in the
school district. I will also attend professional development opportunities that are designed for
dance educators. Additionally, I will conduct my own research to find ways to integrate and
infuse technology within my dance curriculum.
