in India. The most notable formats being Big Bazaar, Home Town, Pantaloons and Central chain
of shops. He has been called India's own Sam Walton. He also is a visionary who minted the
opportunity to introduce big bazaar in India.

Bloomberg Businessweek listed him among India's 50 Most Powerful People in 2009.[2]
