Hello everybody today I´m in Hokkaido Japan I´m


enjoying The Sapporo Snow Festival (Sapporo Yuki Matsuri)Are you ready to
know more about this great festival?It is held during one week every February
in Hokkaido's capital Sapporo. It is one of Japan's most popular winter events.
Let´s see what´s happening in Sapporo

1. The high school students are building a few snow statues in Odori Park. At
the moment a lot of people are looking at the spectacular snow and ice
sculptures.

2. Look! The people are participating in the three types of snow slides,
snow rafting and more snow sculptures. They are wearing winter clothes.

3. Look over there! A crowd is buying tickets to enter to the Odori Site.

St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s day is on March 17th and it’s Ireland’s national holiday. People
celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all around the world with big parades, traditional music,
food, and lots of dancing. Green is the color of Ireland, so on that day all the
people wear green clothes and even their food and drinks are green.

Lots of people take part in the parades, not only Irish people. In this picture , the
people are having a great time. They are playing music, they are singing and of
course they are all wearing something green.

In this picture, people are watching the parade and they’re wearing hats with
shamrocks on it. It’s an Irish symbol and on St. Patrick’s day all the people wear
clothes with the shamrock on them.
