ANALYSIS (ABS CBN)

1. What is the time ratio of aired TV commercial from the news?

Base from our group observation, the time percentile allotted for the

news casting is 75% while the commercial break owns only 25% for the

whole duration of the news.

2. Which of the news delivered considered very important to you

(especially to your profession)?

For me, all of the delivered news considered very important because it

makes me witness the important events in real time; it is one of the

powerful tool of verification; it can give me an idea when it comes to

storytelling to someone who did not watch the news; it has a strong

connection to people in the news because we are using two senses in

watching TV, the sense of seeing and hearing.

As a teacher there are benefits that I could get from the news such as

it keeps me updated and it provides important educational value, it

helps to open up my mind to new things and ideas, I can create my


own opinion and gives more topics to talk about especially integrating

this into the class about the latest updates or happening.

3. Which would surely help in your daily life from the recent situation that

took place?

From the news, it helps me a lot of knowing what was happening of the

environment from local to national even international with regards to

the COVID- 19 pandemic. The media have been following every step of

this journey-with multiple stories, incessant headlines and continuous

updates across the past few weeks. Though the cases of the pandemic

still increasing in number not just in our country but worldwide but if

we just follow what our government says that STAY AT HOME no

wonder that we could fight against this pandemic. But sometimes I

can’t deny that fear still strikes me because of some fake news posted

in some social media. But with Gods intervention and prayers, all of

this calamity will turn into a normal one. This is one of my prayers, my

beliefs that strong faith in God we can be a successful one even in the

midst of trials.

4. Are the TV commercials important? In what way?


TV commercial are the ability to target specific audiences and expand

reach by encouraging further engagement on social media. Advertisers

can target their audience by purchasing ad spots during shows their

intended demographic is likely watching. Creative, imaginative and

engaging ads inspire, excite, convey information and generate brand

loyalty. For me, TV commercial is important, why? Here are some

advantages that I can get: It grabs my attention, as a consumer I

should also consider the creativity of the advertise into reality; It foster

emotion and sympathy, if I was convince with the result of the product

of course I will buy and convince others to try also of what I had

experience; and at the end still the consumer will decide on what to

buy and calculate whether it value everything .
