Mazatrol-EIA Tool Data Params

The document provides instructions for using Mazatrol tool data with an EIA/ISO program. There are three key areas that need configuration: 1) Setting four parameters to make the tool length, diameter, and offsets from the Mazatrol tool data valid for the EIA/ISO program. 2) Configuring the Mazatrol tool data. 3) Setting the work offset data. Following these steps will allow a program to run standalone or be called as a subprogram from a Mazatrol main program using the tooling definitions from the Mazatrol system.

TJS I NG MAZATROL TO()L DATA

rhe following is the recommended Frocedure for using Mazatrol tool

data t{ith,an ErA/ISO program. FoIlbwins this procedure uiII allow the
program to be used as a stand alone program, or to be call as a sub
program from a Mazatrol main program.

There are three areas of informaticn that need to be set for this to
slork correctly.

1. Parameter settings.
2. Tool data setting.
3- Work offset data setting.

PAR.AIVIETER. SETT I $IG

There are four parameters th'at must be set. There functions are as
follows

F93 bit #3 set to I

This makes the TOOL LENGTH from the }lazatrol tool data screen
valid for EIA/ISo progrems. This tool tength becomes effective on the
first move after tool change end does not reguire the use of G43 or an
H offset- (see the program sahple lines N3 through N7)

F94 bit *2 set to I

This stops the tool length from being canceled on a G28 or G30
co'mmand. (see the sample prograrn lines N54 & N56)
CAUTION... IF THIS PARAH.ETERIS NOT SET TO I, AND A G28 OR G3O IS
EXECI'TED TIIE I{AEHINE T{ILL TRY TO I,(OVE IrHE SPINDLE FACE TO THE CURRENT
I,OCATIO!{ OF TIIE TOOI, TIP.

F92 bit S7 set to I

T h i s m a k e s t h e A C T U A L D I A I ' { E T E Rf r o m t t r e H a z a t r o l tool data screen
valid for EIA/Iso prograrns. This diameter is used sith the G4I, G42
cutter comp. commands- The control understands that this is a diameter
value and will apply half of the diameter as the offset amourtt. The D
eommandis not required with the c41 or G{2. (see the sample program
IineE N23 and N39) .

F84 bit fl set to 1

This causes the tool Iength to be applied to the position display
counter. (fhis has no effeEt on program operation)
