Zip Lock Bag

1) Place a zip lock bag on the table and take out the paper work. Write your name and label three cups as sugar, flour, and sand and predict if the items will dissolve. 2) Fill each of three cups with water. Scoop sugar into one cup, flour into another, and sand into the third. 3) Observe the results and circle yes or no to indicate if sugar, flour, and sand dissolved in your experiment.

Steps

Follow all directions for dissolving experiement.

Step 1: Place zip lock


bag on table.

Step 2: Take out paper


work out of bag.

Step 3: Place all


directions in front of
you.
Step 4: Write your name, label
the first predict box sugar, the
second flour, and the third sand,
and then circle yes or no in the
predict only boxes if you think the
items will dissolve.

Step 5: If your parent


is going to help you
then you each need 3
cups. Fill each cut with
water.

Step 6: Get the spoon,


unzip the zip lock bag
labeled sugar, get a
spoon full of sugar and
place in first cup.
Step 7: Get the spoon,
unzip the zip lock bag
labeled flour, get a
spoon full of flour and
place in second cup.

Step 8: Get the spoon,


unzip the zip lock bag
labeled sand, get a
spoon full of sand and
place in third cup.

Step 9: This is
what it should
look like with all 6
cuts filled.
Step 10: Circle yes or no in
the experiment boxes with
your results from the
experiment. Did sugar, flour,
and sand dissolve?
