Skill: Spelling/reading pattern short double (oo)

sound as heard in "foot"


This spelling/reading pattern (oo) has two sounds long, and short.
Long double (oo) was introduced in the previous lesson (# 40).

Short double (oo)/(u) has two spelling patterns.


"u" as in put or pull; "oo" as in foot or book
- not the same sound as short "u" in duck.

Read these words.
