Part 1- Segmentation
A. Product Description
With the increasing use of social media platform, social skills of young people are slowly
decreasing. While they have next to no issues communicating on digital media, people often
feel awkward and uncomfortable dealing with social situation. Our product, Socialize, will try to
tackle this problem in a playful manner. Socialize is a card game which is very similar to Cards
Against Humanity. This will help people learn how to handle situations better and can be good
ice-breaker game among strangers. The game will simply contain a pack of cards, where
different social situations will be presented. There will be a card master who will be in-charge of
the game. The card master will shuffle the deck and pick a random card and then read out the
social scenario that the group of players who are taking part. Then the players write down how
they would handle the situation which has been presented by the card master within a minute.
After the round ends, the players will read out their answer and the rest will vote on it, which
the card master will keep track of. The players who gets the most vote will be the winner of
that round. This cycle will go on until the end of the game.

Our target market will range from 15 to 34-year-old. Millennials and Gen Z takes part in social
gathering more often than other age range and they are more likely to purchase a product
which they can enjoy in a group. As such, the price is going to be $25, which will make it very
affordable even among teenagers.
According to the 2018 census from Figure.NZ, there are 1,280,727 individuals living in New
Zealand in the age group of 15 to 34-year-old, which is roughly 27.25% of the entire population.
Penetrating this market would be easier as this age range tends to spend more of leisure
activities.
