A Dream Job

Michael Palin has travelled all over the world several times but he has lived in the same house in
London since 1968.

Some of you might remember him from the Monty Python films he acted in between 1969 and
1983, but in 1989, Michael started doing TV travel programmes for the BBC. He’s now more
famous for his travel books and DVDs than for his acting.

His first series Around the World in 80 days followed the same route as the Jules Verne novel of
the same name. And like Phileas Fogg, the hero of the book, Michael didn’t get on a plane.

His programmes have taken Michael from the North to the South Pole, around the Pacific Ocean,
across the Sahara desert, up into the Himalayas and through Eastern Europe.

He has had breakfast in Alaska, Sunday lunch at 5,000 metres on Mount Everest, and slept in a

Yes, I have been in to Italy a lot of times, I really like this country, culture and food. Italy is the
most romantic and history historic city. You can sea see a lot of sights, museums, history historic
placeS and also you can relax on the beach.

5) What is your favorite film? Why do you like it?


I like all filmS with Leonardo DiCaprio. Hi He is the best actor, also hi he is very high tall and
beautiful handsome) FirsT film which I watched was Titanic, and I HAVE watched this film
about 50 times. Also I prefer watching film detectiveS and comedIES.

6) What should you do if you have a cold?


You should stay at home. If you have a temperature you should take a pill. If after 2 days you
feel bad you should call to a doctor.

7) What do you have to do at work?


I have a lot of different works tasks, I prepper prepare press releaseS for magazineS, I work with
our designer and we creative create new strategIES for our company. I prepper prepare a lot of
marketing materials for our sales command team.
