6 Initial Setup for Epson 1500w / 1400


To install AcroRIP to your PC just run setup.exe from within the setup folder.

Agree to all the setup options and click next until setup resumes.

Depending on your version you may need to register your copy or insert a dongle
to make it run. If prompted with a machine ID, email the ID to [email protected]
. When you receive your license file place it in the installation folder that is
usually c:/AcroRIP . Then run the software to see it has been registered to you.

General Parameters
First you must set your general parameters that will affect the placement for
printed images. This is correct for most 1500w based DTG printers but will vary.

Go to File > Units and select ‘mm’ as the desired unit


Go to File > Page Margin Setup and enter Left: 15 , Top: 102
Table / Paper Size
Press the Layout tab bottom right of the program screen and enter the
dimensions of your platen i.e. Width : 300 , Height : 470 .
Printer Options
Press the Printer tab and enter the following

Printer = Stylus Photo 1390/1400


Port = 'your 1500w printer port' (remember to install the printer driver from Epson website)
Check paper size = OFF
Resolution = 1440x720
Colour Options
Press the Colour tab to be presented with options for colour.
Change ink channel setting to YKWWMC.
Select your desired ink output level, range between 0 – 200%. Average is 70%
for most garments.
IEC Profiles
At the bottom of the last image see the ICC profile selection button. There are
several options for profiles, the most common is
PHOTOSHOP5DEFAULTCMYK.ICC

Greyscale or Black and White Images


Copy these settings and adjust further as required. Colours reduced and black
increased
