LUX Mining – How to guide

Version 1.0
AMD Video Cards
1. AMD only rigs (single or multiple cards)
a. Have a wallet setup – see LUX Wallet – how to guide

b. Make sure you have the sgminer version that has the phi algo included from
https://github.com/216k155/sgminer-phi1612-Implemented/releases
(current version – 5.6.1-bitbandi-3)
the password is “elbandiminer"

c. Set all your settings to default - everything to default - core speed, memory speed,
and power (if you have a bios mod/hack then you are on your own)

d. Remove all options from the sgminer command line but add the log option eg.

sgminer.exe -k phi -o stratum+tcp:// futurecoins.club:6667 -u yourwallet -p c=LUX -L


log.txt

this will create a log file called log.txt in the same directory as sgminer which will
show you what sgminer is doing

e. If you have an onboard gpu and/or nvidia cards in the same rig then you need to add
the --gpu-platform option eg.

f. sgminer.exe --gpu-platform x -k phi -o stratum+tcp:// futurecoins.club:6667 -u


yourwallet -p c=LUX -L log.txt

--gpu-platform x - replace the x with 0 or 1 or 2 - try them each to see which one
works on your rig

g. It will take a couple of minutes the first time you run it before anything shows up on
the screen – its normal

h. If you are still having issues to get it running then please post your log.txt into the
mining channel so we can try and help or PM one of the supervisors

i. If you are running at this point then you can mess with your settings to find the ones
that work for you and your rig

j. For additional sgminer options – run

sgminer –help
Nvidia Video Cards

2. LUX Mining – Nvidia only rigs (single or multiple cards)


a. Have a wallet setup – see LUX Wallet – how to guide

b. Make sure you have the ccminer version that has the phi algo included from
https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases (current version - 2.2.2)

c. Set all your settings to default - everything to default - core speed, memory speed,
and power (if you have a bios mod/hack then you are on your own)

d. Remove all options from the ccminer command line eg. (attached batch file – just
change the yourwallet to your LUX wallet address

ccminer -a phi -o stratum+tcp://futurecoins.club:6667 -u yourwallet -p c=LUX

e. If you are still having issues to get it running then please post bat file and screenshot
into the mining channel so we can try and help or PM one of the supervisors directly

f. If you are running at this point then you can mess with your settings to find the ones
that work for you and your rig

g. For additional ccminer options – run

ccminer --help
Mixed Rigs

3. LUX Mining – Mixed rig – Both AMD and Nvidia cards in same rig
a. Have a wallet setup – see LUX Wallet – how to guide

b. This setup is a little more complicated but does work


i. You need to run sgminer for the AMD cards as in point 1 above and ccminer
for the Nvidia cards as in point 2 above – so you will need both batch files
ii. Take note of point 1f above – you will need the –gpu-platform x option in
the sgminer line

c. If you are still having issues to get it running then please contact one of the
supervisors directly
