Launch Control On EDC16 ECU PDF

This document provides instructions for enabling launch control on EDC16 engine control units not used for dual-clutch transmissions. It explains that the user should open the highlighted torque map, which will display vehicle speed on the x-axis and engine speed on the y-axis with torque values on the z-axis. The document instructs the user to modify the map to set launch control, using an example of setting it at 2,800 RPM, and then save and write the file back to the ECU to activate launch control.

Launch Control on EDC16 ECU’s

This is a little guide on enabling Launch Control on EDC16 ECU’s NOT fitted to DSG gearboxes.

First find this map that I have highlighted already:

This is normally a flat map without the spikes. When LC is activated, it will look like the map above. Axis
data are in front of the map (Looking from left to right).

Select and open it, and it should look like this:

With Vehicle Speed on the X-axis (Factor 0.01) and Engine Speed on the Y axis (Factor 1).

The Z values are allowed Torque (Factor 0.1).

Now modify the map as you wish. In my case I have set LC @2800 RPM. That involves changing the Y axis as
well. Looks like this then:

Save, and write file back. Now enjoy the Launch Control!!
