Chapter Excercise: ST ND

Analogy items measure reasoning ability, vocabulary skills, and familiarity with the analogy format. They are commonly used in standardized tests, including subjects beyond English. Guidelines for constructing analogy items include using study questions that require the same thinking as exam questions and providing practice exams. Rearrangement items assess proper sequencing of data or procedures. Guidelines include disarranging a set of information and providing a definite arrangement mode, with options parallel to the arrangement mode and a clear answering method. Identification items measure the ability to identify and analyze missing information. Constructing them requires one clear focus, substantial missing information, unclued blank lengths, and clear identifying options and answering.
