Making IG Money
Making IG Money
What was merely a photo-sharing app initially has become one of the top
social media platforms in less than seven years.
The interest in Instagram has grown tremendously over the past six years.
And I highly doubt that it will be slowing down anytime soon.
Let’s get into the thick of things and see how to actually make $200 to
$10,000 (even more) per month from Instagram.
“In order to achieve something, you must know the steps between where
you are now, and where you want to be.
A lot of people have big goals, but unless those goals are broken down into
the required, manageable steps, you will not know the path forward”.
So, in this eBook “Making IG Money”, I’m giving you the exact steps that you
need to make in order to make money with Instagram.
Let’s go!
0 – 500 Followers
These ways will usually work if you have 0 – 500 followers on
Instagram and more.
• How much can you earn? Depends. The payouts are averaging
around $3/sale. Kindle unlimited, however, offers $10/sale.
Difficulty – EASY.
Profit – Depends on the services/products.
3. Designing logo for businesses – One of the easiest ways that you can
make money on Instagram, is by designing Logos for other businesses
and pages on IG. The process is simple:
- Browse Instagram and find pages with no logo or very bad logos.
- Take their names/business names and run them down on logo
generator websites like brandcrowd.com or tailorbrands.com to
create their logos. You’ll have a small watermark on it.
- Approach that particular page, send them that watermarked logo. If
they love it, ask them for a specific amount for the logo.
Difficulty – EASY
Profit – anywhere between $5 - $50 for a logo.
Difficulty – Easy
Profit – Depends on the premium services that you’re offering.
8. Help pages to optimize their bio – Writing a good bio on Instagram can
be tough. And many people don’t know how to use it.
Difficulty – Easy
Profit – Can be anywhere between $10 - $25 per bio.
9. Design People’s & pages IG stories – Designing IG stories can be super
easy if you want to go simple. But if you’re a big page with many
followers, you’ll want to make your stories look amazing.
- Approach medium – big accounts on Instagram and send them a
video of you presenting yourself and offering them your stories
designs.
- Send them a couple of stories designs that they can use.
- You can send them 2 designs.
- If they like it, make them an offer for more stories designs.
10. Make “Turn On Post Notifications” videos for big pages – Let’s say,
that you have a favorite page on Instagram. For example, Gary Vee.
- Go to his page.
- Follow him (If you haven’t already).
- Click on “Following”.
- Go to “Notifications”.
- Now you can choose what kind of a notification you want to get.
- Post notification (New post), or Stories/Live videos notifications.
Difficulty – Medium
Profit - $20-$50 Per video.
11. Write post captions for people on IG – Writing a well written and well
put caption is difficult. Especially for new pages that just started out on
Instagram. For this “Job” you’ll need two things:
- Make sure that all your Instagram post have long, good written
captions. This is proof.
- Make sure that you have enough time.
Look for new pages on Instagram (0-300 followers), check their posts
to see if their captions are good. Usually, a good caption is:
- Long
- Has line spaces
- Has emojis (not too much)
- Has a CTA (call to action)
- And, is engaging with the audience.
If the page you’re looking at lacks all these in their captions, send
them a DM.
- Let them know the importance of a great caption.
- Tell them how they can get better.
- Offer them the solution: YOU.
- Tell them that you’re a copywriter who writes captions for pages on
Instagram.
- Offer them your service and tell them that you can work with them
for a month. You can give them a 2-day trial.
Difficulty – HARD. You’ll need to know how to run ads and how to
get results from those ads.
Profit – In the beginning, you can charge $200 - $500/month to run
ads for a client. If you’re very experienced with FB ads. You can
charge anywhere from $1500-$15000/month to run ads for a client.
Also depends on the client’s budget.
13. Build websites for pages and businesses on Instagram – Building
websites couldn’t be easier than it is now. And yet, there are still plenty
of people and businesses who are yet to have a website.
Now, one way that you can help these businesses, is to build a website for
them. There are plenty of website builders. Website builder, also known
as an online store or ecommerce platform, is an online program that
allows you to create a website with little to no technical experience.
All the hard stuff’s taken care of so all you need to do is focus on
uploading the products and making the website look exactly like you/your
client want it to.
You can approach businesses on Instagram if you see that they don’t have
a website:
- Send them a DM via IG
- Tell them that you’re a website builder.
- Ask them if they have a website
- Offer your services.
Difficulty – Easy.
Profit – Depends on how much you want to charge.
Usually, the prices are anywhere between $5-$15 to enter.
15. Now, my personal favorite that I’m still doing today – Flipping IG
pages –
Flipping pages is seriously one of the best ways to make money with
Instagram, because:
- You can have 0 followers to flip pages.
- IG pages with huge following (10k+) are in a big demand.
- People don’t want to spend time on growing their pages organically,
so they will much prefer buying an already grown account with
monetization opportunity.
There are several website where you can buy and sell those IG
accounts: FameSwap, SocialTradia, Insta-sale, TooFame.
Difficulty – Easy.
Profit – Anywhere between $100-$10k
16.Do dropshipping – You can do dropshipping even when you have 200
followers. It’s better to start while your account is fresh & new.
You can boost your drophipping website sales if you follow these steps:
- Share episode updates. It’s important that every time you create a
new episode and upload it, you share an update across your social
media accounts. Especially Instagram.
- Pin your episode to your page (Link in bio/stories).
- Create an eye capturing image that will draw attention to your page
and help gain more listeners.
- Tease the audience. Share a small tease of your podcast 24 hours
before the episode is going live. You can use the countdown sticker
in your stories.
- Reshare! Sharing episode updates on your Instagram is critical.
- Use stories to your advantage. This is the best tool you can use to
provide your viewers real time updates, but also a behind the scenes
look into what goes into creating a new podcast episode.
- Launch day! If this is your first time recording and launching a
podcast, you should record 2-3 more episodes.
Here are some smart ways to use Instagram to promote your blog
and content:
- Introduce yourself (BIO)
- Post quality and highly relevant content.
- Screen-capture your latest blog post.
- Follow other bloggers and engage with their content.
- Share behind the scenes stuff (stories).
- Get all themed up.
- Create 60 second videos about you and your blog.
- What’s your story? Share it.
- Let them know what’s coming, tease your audience.
- Be consistent.
- Over deliver the value.
- Use IG ads to drive traffic to your page and blog.
- Install the awesome Instagram feed pro plugin on your blog.
Difficulty – Medium
Profit – Depends on your blog.
20.Promoting your YouTube channel – Once you’ve determined that IG is
one of the ways you want to promote your YouTube videos, there are
some easy ways to improve your reach, and ultimately get more
subscribers:
- Share unique content.
- Use hashtags.
- Interact with your followers.
- Include your channel details (put a link in your bio).
Difficulty – Easy.
Profit – Depends on how many views your videos have.
You can use the YouTube Money Calculator to calculate the profits
of your channel.
- Consistency is key.
- Use IG stories.
- Quality over quantity.
- Share user-generated content - When your users share a picture of
themselves with your product, reach out to them and ask if you can
post it on your official page.
- Optimize your profile.
- Engage regularly with followers.
- Seek out cross promotion opportunities.
- Consider Influencer Marketing.
Difficulty – Medium-Hard.
Profit – Depends on your product.
22.Create Funnels for entrepreneurs – Creating a sales funnel might seem
hard and intimidating to many people, and especially entrepreneurs.
If you have the skill of building Funnels, you can easily offer this service to
entrepreneurs that are trying to sell something, but don’t have a funnel.
- Learn this skill if you don’t know it.
- Practice by building funnels for yourself, and just example funnels.
- You can use ClickFunnels to build those funnels.
- There are many more websites where you can build funnels, but
ClickFunnels is the best so far.
- Look for pages and entrepreneurs on Instagram who don’t have
websites or funnels.
- DM them and tell them about yourself, how long have you been
building funnels.
- You can send them a couple of the example funnels that you built.
- If they’re interested, make them an offer.
24.Selling story shoutouts – If you have 1k – 10k followers, you can easily
monetize your page by selling shoutouts to smaller pages than yours.
A shoutout means that you’re posting their post in your story.
Usually, when you have 5k+ followers, those pages who need shoutouts
will come to you. But when you have 1k – 5k, you can reach out to
smaller pages and offer them the shoutouts.
Difficulty – Easy.
Profit – Depends on how big your account is.
(1k – 10 k) - $20 - $35
(10k – 100k) - $35 - $55
(100k +) - 55$ - no limit.

but will be worth it.

You can take anywhere between $70 - $200 for an hour of coaching.
The prices can vary, based on your skill level.

Instagram page, or even open a new page just for your photography.
- Start selling your photos on Foap:
- You sign up
- You build a profile
- You create a portfolio of your best images that you’d like to sell
- You earn $5 for each image you sell (You can sell the same image an
unlimited number of times).
- There’s also a website called 500px – this is a community of
photographers with 80 million photos. It’s a great platform to get
exposure and license your photos.
- You can then insert the link to your photography storefront/profile
on Instagram and send traffic to the links.
Difficulty – Medium.
Profit – Depends on the arrangement. If the payout is per client,
then it can be very different.
If the payout is monthly. It can be anywhere between $500 - $5k.
Difficulty – Medium.
Profit - $20-$200 per video.
34.Offer IG tutorials to people – There are many people who still don’t
know how to use Instagram. And there are many ways that you can
monetize this.
- Start a page about Instagram (Operation + Usage + Growth).
- Post daily posts and stories about growing Instagram and operation
it. Don’t reveal too much, but still give a lot of value.
- When you get to about 5k followers, you can start doing coaching
calls about IG usage and operation. You can talk about topics such
as:
- How to upload livestreams
- How to add special fonts to your bio or captions
- How to schedule posts
- How to set up post notifications
- How to use different kinds of strategies
- And so on.
Difficulty – Easy.
Profit – anywhere between $50 - $150
35.The “Traveling For Free” Method – Now, this is one of the most
interesting and profitable niches out there – TRAVEL.
Here’s how you can travel for free:
- Start a page in the travel niche.
- If you have a personal page, you can continue growing it, but also
switch it up to the travel niche.
- Post beautiful pictures and videos of travel destinations, tag the
location and if it’s a hotel, tag the hotel.
- Be consistent, post every day.
- Write long captions with recommendations (about hotels and
destinations overall).

their hotels, paying for your trip.
- The more followers you have, the easier it will be.
Difficulty – Easy.
Profit - $10/preset.
37.Become an influencer – When you buy a new phone/product/shirt, did
you buy it after you saw it on Amazon? Or did you buy it after it received
good reviews from influencers? Research found that 49% of consumers
were more likely to purchase, if the product was indorsed by a real
individual. So, let’s get started
Type a hashtag related to your post in the search bar. For example, if
you’re posting about cars, try the #cars. You’ll then find suggestions
on Instagram’s search bar.
- Post content often – Finding your optimal posting frequency is
another important factor in learning how to become an IG
influencer. Top brands and influencers post an average of 1.5 times
per day.
- Get in touch with brands – As you probably already know, you can
become an IG influencer by working with brands. Once you have
thousands of followers under your belt, you can start reaching out to
brands. You can participate in their campaigns and giveaways, or use
their brand-related hashtags in your posts. This puts your account
under their radar. You can also send them a DM or contact them via
email. Send them a small pitch to let them know how a collaboration
with you could benefit them.
Difficulty – Hard.
Profit – these are the price ranges, depending on the number of
followers that you have:
Based on Later.com.
38.Sell your artwork – Vogue magazine recently called Instagram the
“World’s Most Talked-About New Art Dealer”. It’s easy to see why.
Here are a couple of notes on how you can sell art on Instagram:
- Make some great art
- Be consistent
- Set up a great profile & learn to photograph & use the editing tools.
- Embrace the IG culture and build your following.
- Engage with your target audience and with your existing followers.
- Use good hashtags, and do your research (DM me @boostingbee if
you need hashtags research).
- Identify the taste makers – Identify the influencers.

- Try some fan-generated fun – Do giveaways & contests.
- Try a flash sale.
Difficulty – Hard
Profit – Call: $50 -$150 per hour. Meeting - $200 - $1000.
40.Grow pages and sell them – At the beginning I told you about flipping
accounts. Flipping account is way faster than just growing it and selling
it.
But, if it takes you let’s say, 2 months to grow a page to 10k followers,
you can then sell it if you’d like, for $250.
Or, you can keep growing it , and in the same time grow 2 more
accounts.
Eventually, you can grow all 3 of these accounts to 50k each, and sell
each of them for $1000. This income is not passive, but as soon as you
get the hang of it, you can always grow accounts and then sell them for a
profit.
Difficulty – Hard.
Profit –
$80 - $150 (2k-5k followers)
$150 - $400 (5k -20k followers
$400 - $1k (20k-50k followers)
$500 - $2k (50k-100k followers)
$2k - $10k (100k followers+)

Doing coaching calls is one thing. It’s not super easy, but it’s not hard.

But when it comes to creating a course or a program, this is where you
need to be a pro and an expert at what you’re doing.
You need to have at least 10k followers, because this is when people
start looking at your page seriously.
You can create a course/program with any knowledge.
- You need to record videos of yourself speaking about that topic.
