People make art everywhere, and they seem to have been doing it for as long as
they’ve been around. One of the main reasons for making art is pleasure. We enjoy
making art and we enjoy looking at it. We find beauty in art, and that gives us
pleasure. We also admire the skill and imagination that are undergone into process
before making art. An important purpose of art is to delight. Some works of art are
beautiful or charming as themselves. Others delight us through their visual intricacy,
by reminding us of patterns in nature, and in many other ways. Some art works even
delight by frightening us with terrifying sights, which are not really terrifying because
we know they exist only in the work of art. Art is a diverse human activity in creating
visual etc. I may not that art inclined but I know that if I am that incline with arts,
my arts is a combination of leisure, recreational and as well as attitude. Art really
play a vital role in everyone including me, that even I don’t excel at this I am still fond
of arts creation. I always try to make my own art for I know it just show who I am.
Art is a reflection of me because it portrays my thoughts, it conveyed my feelings. It
shows how I feel towards something that catches my attention or something that
interest me. For me I define art as the visualization of myself because it portrays my
thoughts and my emotions, Arts for me is the combination of the three for I always do
my art as a part of my leisure for some reason that I want to unwind myself from
everything and doing art makes me more productive at during my leisure period. An
art serve as a bridge on how I do my recreational activities along with leisure that it
will always tends to reflect my attitude. Somehow arts bring out the real emotions
inside you that it shows characteristics of your personality. I can say that my arts
have always been my focal point in discovering the missing piece of my identity.

to learn about history. (20 pts)
Learning about history allows us look back what are the significant events happened.
We can look at past economic and cultural trend and to be able to offer reasonable
predictions of what will happen next in today’s word. History enables us to understand
different cultures that are still and even the forgotten one. It helps us understand change is
inescapable as a serious topic/study because what happened to the past causes the
present and the future. Literature serves as a tool to learn about history because it is
connected to each other. Visual art allows owe minds to uniquely create our very own

any time period and can ultimately bring about an understanding that can travel
throughout time. Visual art especially cinema influences society especially nowadays by
changing opinions; instilling values and translating experiences across space and time. It
preserves what fact-based historical records and with the help of visual arts it keeps us
connected to what happened on the historical life of our country. History and literature are
closely interrelated. In discovering the history of a race, people are surely included and
these feelings, aspirations and customs and tradition that are written in literature.

4. After learning more about the arts, what role do you believe artists and performers
serve in society? Why? (20 pts)

Arts is everywhere, it is something that is created with a broad imagination and

skill that expresses thoughts, moods and feeling. Nowadays, arts are already present
in different aspects on society and with the help of artists and performers they can
serve as eye-opener of every individual to show happenings in our society. They also
show the culture by their portraits and portrayal. I believe that they serve as an
instrument to reveal dark side of society, to inspire and motivate every individual.
They try to express their opinions and beliefs regarding the struggles that our society
facing right now. With their works and acts, it gives such inspiration and lesson to
people in order for them to cope up and overcome any circumstances or every
downfall that is happened in the society and to one’s life. It can also make a message
to every individual to make a move for the development of our society. The works of
every artist and performer is intended to be appreciated for the beauty and emotional
power. It share the ups and down of our society. As of now, I think they are the
greatest weapon and power of a society full of less heard people for they can held an
attention of many audiences with diverse state of life that will lead them to be heard
by people’s with position.

5. As the recent pandemic cases continue to arise, how would you as a student
challenge the powerful people without fear and give a voice to those less heard
through arts? (20 pts.)

The works produced by an individual artist usually have in common distinctive and

identifiable visual qualities. These qualities form what is called the artist’s personal style.
Because artists from a particular time or place share ways of working but I do believe that
every artwork conveys message that may voice out our personal thoughts or something that

exist in society. Through arts we can freely express our thoughts about something that may
convey message to be heard by our audience. Arts is very powerful, it raises awareness of
happenings in every individual lives and in the society. It serves as a bridge between
powerful people including the less heard. It serves a strong communication between the
society and its people. With the pandemic issue right now, I think art is a powerful
medium to voice out your thoughts towards powerful people. Since art is not always direct
message, it can lessen the fear in voicing out what you feel towards them, art is meaningful
and it has many hidden messages. If I would use arts to give challenge without fear and if I
am good at drawing or painting, I think that’s the tool I will use. I will paint the happenings
in our society during the increase of this case; I will include the demand and entreaty of
every individual that is affected in this pandemic as well as how high profiled people deeds.
I will make sure that my arts will make powerful people to reflect towards their actions and
I will make them realize that they should also take suggestion from anyone even if they are
just a commoner. I will use my painting as my voice to catch attention of many people and
to let them know that they shouldn’t be afraid in voicing out their selves. A one or two
person can be voiceless but when a bunch of citizens of our country will make a move and
voice out everything they want in any medium I am very sure that it will reach out powerful
people up there. As what they said “two is better than one”. If we unite as one, we can
create a strong bond of connection with peace and love towards each other that will lead to
being helpful and cooperative to successfully beat the pandemic. No one must ever
underestimate the intense power of the arts. The arts can bring attention to the world, all
manner of injustice, cruelties, and barbaric behaviour. I will use art to bring light and just,
to the horror kept in the dark. I will use this to bring up struggles as well as endeavour that
they keep behind the close door, out of the sight to be viewed by the public. Voice may be
dread but an art is bold to give voice for everything.
