“Organizational Ethics & Conflicts in Public Sector”
The article has been written by Kathryn G. Denhardt, University of Delaware, USA. She wrote this article
in 2000 from Public Administration & Public Policy Vol: II.
She highlighted the organizational ethics are very much important to motivate an employee to perform
better to attain the organizational task. The psyche/mind of each & every employee is different in Public
/Private Organization so many conflicts are occurred in organization which may cause the hindrance to
achieve the organizational goal.
To achieve the foal in a smooth manner, she highlighted to build some organizational structure to support
& encourage ethical behavior in all departments & level of Government.
She went with the Quantitative method research to gather the data collection from some public firms at
Washington DC via SURVEY & used the primary data to collect the data.
Her conclusion was that if an organization has ethics programs containing written standards. Trainings &
on & off ethics advices from the consultant/expertise, then employees:
He used the Qualitative research to find out the success of products by these social media websites. He
used personal interviews with the founders of websites. He also used the secondary data from the internet/
Google about the past history of these social media sites & its importance to promote a product. He also
took help from the case studies by Dell, Apple IPod Touch, Sponsored Facebook Gifts, Sony Snow-
globe, Obama online campaign etc.
His conclusion/findings includes that this research has open the doors for other researchers to work on
more social media sites after a-few years after the innovation of technology. The shortcoming of this
research was the usage of qualitative research to determining the criteria for success. Due to shortage of
time, the secondary data was used. The frequent change of technology may help the organizations to
market their products by other famous/popular social media sites to convery their message to direct
audiences.
