The research question explores how international students at a Dutch university socialize and identify with students from their host country, home country, and other international students. It examines factors that influence this process like experiences studying or living abroad previously, reasons for choosing to study abroad and at this university specifically, and plans after finishing their degree. The sub-questions cover topics like who international students interact with most on and off campus; how they are adapting to the local culture and interacting with local and other international students; how their identity and perspectives may have changed from living abroad; and what they have learned from this experience.
