TASK INSTRUCTIONS
Week: 1
Task: “Something I love”
Deadline: Last day of the week.
Instructions: Film yourself giving a presentation about something you love.
Steps:

1. Do exercises from MyELT: Unit 7 Experience - Presentation 4: Something I love (This part is very
important).

2. After doing the activities on MyELT, get ready to talk about something you love.

3. Prepare your script using the four steps suggested in MyELT: Unit 7 Experience - Presentation 4:
Something I love.

1. Greet and welcome the audience, and introduce yourself.


2. Tell a story or set a scene that includes the thing you love.
3. Say why the thing you love is important to you.
4. Thank the audience and finish the talk.

* This text will be your video script so make it interesting to the audience.
* Use the vocabulary and grammar structures practiced in this unit.

4. Record yourself on a video telling us about something you love. When recording your video, consider
the following:
 Practice several times before recording the final version of your video.
 Your video should last about 1 minute or 1 minute and a half (1’-1’30).
 Use youtube.com to make the video. Test your video works well before sharing the link.
Change video privacy setting to “Public” so your teacher can view it.
 You can also use any other software to make your video.
 You have to paste the link of your video and the script in the word document “Week 1 -
presentation”.
 Upload the document before the deadline.

Tips while recording your video:

 Speak as clearly as possible.


 Smile.
 Be in a well-lit area.
 Be confident.
 Do not forget to look at the camera when you speak.
 Don’t just read.

5. Evaluation criteria:

Pronunciation and intonation (5 points): Clear and correct pronunciation of words. Correct use
of intonation: rising, falling, statements, questions, etc. Use of English vowels and consonants
Fluency (5 points): Right delivery of sentences, standard pace in conversation, fluency contributes
to understanding
Accuracy (5 points): Precise use of vocabulary and expressions to succeed in task. Correct use of
grammar required (studied in the unit)
Task achievement (5 points): Clear delivery of message, proper use of webcam and audio tools.
