1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Electrically Operated Remote Control non-aspirating Foam


Monitor made of Stainless Steel. The ranges of Monitors available are
capable to discharge 1000 US GPM (3785 LPM) to 10,000 US GPM
(37,850 LPM) at 100 psi (7 bar) inlet pressure over a range of 60 to 140
meters in horizontal direction and 25 to 40 meters in vertical direction.
Foam proportioning 3 % is done with help of water operated Jet Ratio
Controller Pump (JRCP) suitable for feeding foam concentrate solution
to the monitor nozzle from a minimum distance of 100 mtrs. The Foam
Monitor has facility for converting Water/Foam jet to fog and vice-
versa very quickly and easily from a remote distance. Foam Monitor is
provided with self-locking swivel gear bearing for rotation in horizontal
and vertical direction. A single fire fighter can manually operate the
Foam Monitor with large flow capacity, long-range capability. The
monitor assembly is designed to withstand the nozzle reaction force
experienced during the operation of jet/ fog.

LPM) at 100 psi (7 bar) inlet pressure.
 Excellent Horizontal throw of 60 to 140 meter long.
 Excellent Vertical throw of 25 to 40 meter high & above.
 Excellent Full Fog and Semi Fog Coverage.
 Jet Ratio Controlled Pump (JRCP) can be placed 50 meter away from the foam Monitor.
 Low Expansion, so less loss of foam & more cooling effect on burning surface.
 Quick change over from jet to fog or Semi Fog or spray remotely.
 Fully Stainless Steel Construction.
 Easy maneuverability in horizontal and vertical plane remotely.
 Almost maintenance free.
 Available In Fixed and Mobile Version.
 Various Metallurgy Option.

3. REMOTE CONTROL MONITOR OPERATING PANEL:

Remote Control Panel is operating on the 24 V, 50 Hz, 3 Phase electric power. The Panel used for remote
control is of explosion proof type and suitable for use in Zone I, Group II hazardous areas as per relevant
code. The entire electrical system is provided with heat resistant cables and is totally waterproof so that,
during the fire fighting operation no short circuit can develop.

The remote control panel is having the necessary controls for the following operations:

i. Master selector switch for ON & OFF
ii. Push button control for rotation of monitor in horizontal plane as clockwise & Anti-clockwise
direction.
iii. Push button control for rotation of monitor in vertical plane as elevation & depression.
iv. Fog to Jet control of Nozzle.

v. Jet to fog control of Nozzle.


vi. Emergency stop for all operations.

The remote control monitor has manual override facility for maneuvering of the monitor in case of power
failure.

5. AQUA FOAM JET RATIO CONTROL PUMP (JRCP).

Water operated foam pump (JRCP) is suitable for feeding foam concentrate solution to the monitor nozzle
from a distance of minimum 100 mtrs in horizontal plane. The inlet & outlet of JRCP are provided with 63
mm. Male & female coupling respectively.

nozzle from a minimum distance of 50 mtrs in
horizontal plane.
