User manual
MARTECH RCD

Hardware requirements:

Activated RCD Tools, K-Line function is available under K-Line bookmark.

Software works with following devices:


- Martech CLIP
- Martech BOX II Plus
- Martech BOX Lite
- Martech KEY

Required hardware:
For Martech CLIP, BOX II Plus and Lite:
- Martech K-Line Interface

For Martech KEY:


- FTDI KEY Interface

Interface usage through devices: Martech CLIP, BOX II Plus and BOX Lite
1. Connect device to USB port.
2. Connect Martech K-Line Interface to:
- BOX II Plus or BOX Lite into RJ45 socket
- Martech CLIP into RJ45 socket marked as PORT2

3. Connect K-Line signals to car radio (GND, +12V, K)

4. Connect car radio power supply

5. Run RCD Tools

6. Click on „Read Code” button

Connection process with car radio will be started.


After about 4 seconds leds will blinks, and the field Code will be filled by result.

Attention! You might choose one of followings code reading methods:


- Fast Read, it's one-try code read method,
- To Result Read, it's process which is running up to read 100% correct code.

Interface usage through device Martech KEY


1. Connect Martech Key to USB port of PC

2. Connect FTDI KEY Interface to USB port of PC

3. Connect Martech K-Line Interface into RJ45 socket of FTDI KEY Interface

4. Connect signals from K-Line interface to car radio (GND, +12V, K)

5. Connect car radio power supply

6. Run RCD Tools

7. Set up correct COM Port

8. Click on „Read Code” button

Connection process with car radio will be started. After about 4 seconds leds will blinks, and the field
Code will be filled by result.

Attention! You might choose one of followings code reading methods:


- Fast Read, it's one-try code read method,
- To Result Read, it's process which is running up to read 100% correct code.

How to check which COM port is correct ?

The are two ways:


- Check in System Manager options

- Use Refresh COMs button by discconnecting and connecting FTDI KEY Interface, check available
ports in combo menu Avaible COM Ports

Comments

1. If you see „?” mark near code, it suggest that code might not work.
2. „Timeout” information in Code field signals wrong connection between interface and car radio or
while using Martech KEY it signals wrong COM port selecting.
3. Number „#...” next to To Result Read refer to quantity of tries in that mode.
4. We suggest to use COM port in the range from COM1 to COM9.
You can change to lower number by changing it in System Manager → Com & LPT Ports.
