Laser Machine Procedure

The document outlines the procedures for starting up and operating a laser cutting machine. It discusses: 1. Required utilities including nominal voltage, gases like nitrogen and oxygen with specified pressures, convergent gases like helium and carbon dioxide between 5.5-6 bars, and coolant water mixing ratios. 2. Startup steps like turning on the water cooling, opening gas valves, powering on the machine interface, initiating the laser and high voltage, and executing the home position. 3. Programming and cutting procedures such as loading materials below a weight limit, verifying programs, and making offsets for cutting. 4. Shutdown steps including stopping programs, turning off laser and power, and closing accessory

7.0 Programming and Cutting

7.1 Load the program.
7.2 Load the material to be cut on the machine interchanging pallet. Material weight
should not exceed 3300 kg
7.3 Verify the program that relevant to the production order requirement (i.e. Type,
Material, Thickness, and Qty etc.)
7.4 Make work offsetting for the loaded material and cut as per the program.

7.5 Meanwhile other sheet can be loaded another pallet.

8.0Shut down procedure
8.1 Stop CNC program.
8.2 Turn off shutter selector switch.
8.3 Turn laser off.
8.4 Back fill the laser. If the turbine is still running, A message will appear
informing the operator the
8.5 Shut down windows/HMI
8.6 Press “OFF” the operator interface panel button.
8.7 Turn off machine breaker switch.
8.8 Turn off accessories(Chiller, Convergent gases, Main Gases, Assist air)
9.0 Basic Maintenance
9.1 Drain and clean air filter the FRL unit of dry air supply weekly once.
9.2 Clean the machine free from dust particles.
9.3 Clean the coolant water filter periodically.
9.4 Clean the spatter deposited on the pallet.
9.5 Apply the greasing lubrication for pallet guide ways.
10.0 Safety
LASER CUTTING PROCEDURE
10.1 Machine
10.1 Do not enter elevator side while changing the pallet. Otherwise the sensor will stop the
machine.

10.2 Laser radiation can injure your eyes

10.2 Do not stare laser with naked eye.

10.3 Do not stand on the pallet. It may cause for injury.

10.2 Fumes and gases

10.2.1. Fumes and gases can be harmful to your health.

10.2.2 Keep your head out of fumes and gases zone.

10.2.3 Use Face mask to avoid breathing gases and fumes.

10.2.4 Cutting area is shielded by doors do not open the door while cutting.

9.3 ELECTRICAL

10.3.1 Electrical shock can kill

10.3.2 Do not touch any live electrical parts.

10.3.3 The electrical cables and conduits should be insulated from any physical damage.

10.3.4 Wear safety shoes to avoid electrical shocks.

10.4 GAS CYLINDER

10.4.1 Unconnected gas cylinder stored at the welding area shall be limited approximately one
day’s consumption of each gas used. Other cylinder should be stored its storage area.

10.4.2 Gas cylinder shall be located and secured so that they cannot be knocked over.

10.4.3 Keep the gas cylinder away from the welding and grinding spark.

10.4.4 Keep the cylinder closed when it is not used.
