Reading & Writing Week 8

This document discusses critical approaches to reading different types of claims. It defines claims as persuading or arguing something to a reader. There are three main types of claims: claims of fact, which can be proven true or false; claims of value, which involve judgments and evaluations; and claims of policy, which typically provide solutions in response to claims of fact. The document also defines hypertext as non-linear presentation of information using links, hypermedia as forms of multimedia, and intertext as how a text's meaning is shaped by another text.
