ABSTRACT
Ulcerative colitis is the inflammatory disease which is causing ulcers in the colon and rectum. The prevalence rate
of ulcerative colitis is 2-3%3% in the world which is characterized by Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Rectal bleeding,
Abdominal pain and Weight loss. ss. The symptom of Ulcerative colitis can be congruent with symptom of
Pravahika in Ayurveda, such as Atipravahana purisha
purisha, Udarsoola, Raktayukta purisha.. In Ayurveda, various
treatment modalities have been illustrated for Ulcerative colitis as Diet, Med Medicine

present study, the specific some drugs had been selected along with Matra basti with Yasthimadhu taila for
treating the ulcerative colitis which shown gradually very effective and successful result while combined with
Allopathy medication.
